i've got a newb question. why do i have 2 power ports on the gpu? a 2x4 and a 2x3. my psu only has (2)2x4 vga ports, a (1)2x3 perif port, and (2)2x4 sata ports. i assume i don't need the sata ports because i didn't by an sata ssd/hdd. i got a m.2 sdd.

Not yet, apparently the new Auto Undervolt in Wattman does a great job.

You know what make me sad though? Seeing just how much my 8700K has lost from my tests over a year ago pre-security patches. I could hit 23K at 5.2GHz, second test so far and it can't get out of the middle 21's.

I posted what to do and you ignored.

Kinguin, 20 bucks.

You like ignore all advice.

Edt: or what UH posted. I'm not going to sit here and explain region pricing. Google it.

It's legit.

Edt: or what UH posted. Jesus.

why you being a dick about it? i want to say blue suggested just making a usb boot drive because he "couldn't remember the last time he activated windows". so that's what i did. well, there's a few features missing that i used to use.

i researched kinguin and it seemed sketchy. just as sketchy as UH's suggestion.

have you guys ever bought anything from there that didn't pan out like it should?

eta: just used an old windows 8.1 key from way back when. let's see how long it lasts... if it doesn't, i'll go the G2A/Kinguin way.

I didn't know where to post this but hope someone here would have a quick answer.

Between AT&T and Cox (internet only) which company do you think it more reliable? Assume no cable and 2 people streaming max.

I've had Cox and Uverse fiber. They are equal in reliability. I got a better connection and ping with Uverse though since it is fiber. It wasn't much though.

I could also easily use my own modem and router with Cox but the Uverse one is pretty good and was equal with my Nighthawk AC1750.

Picked up the Thermaltake 850 watt 80 plus gold POSU for $74 on prime day yesterday.

Now have 2 pieces to my new build:

512gb Inland premium nvme SSD (PCI Gen 3.0 x4)
850w Thermaltake 80+ Gold PSU

Was looking to get a case but didn't pull the trigger on the 680x for $199 on amazon. Think I may just get a PC-o11 dynamic for like $120 instead.

let me ask you something blue, last night as i was putting all this together, i used the stock cooler that came with the cpu. as you know, it comes with the thermal paste already installed. well, i had to take the cooler off immediately after setting it because i got the power cable for the fan stuck between the cooler itself and the ram slots. i couldn't pull the cable out without removing the cooler. should i have wiped it clean and applied new? i've got another question about temps at the end of my story.

well, i downloaded and started up apex legends a few minutes ago and i was watching the opening cinematics. got tire of watching it and decided to skip. well, a popup displayed the current battlepass and latest character. i hit escape to exit and the whole game crashed.

tried to restart and all i got was a spin wheel. had to force it. logged in, both monitors go black after trying to start apex. force shutdown again. windows loads but the login screen is stuck at the clock. the password option never displays. force shut down again.

i've uninstalled apex and reinstalling now thinking that's the issue. i'm in CPUID and it saying my max CPU temp is 69*C. is that the highest ever recorded? and if so, is that high?

eta: everything is at stock voltages.

eta2: it's got to be apex because everytime i load it, my whole system crashes.
