Well what about a 1680 Ti?

What about it?

The TU116 isn't a cut down full fat of TU102(2080Ti) like TU104(2080) and TU106(2070). The 1680 Ti if you remember uses the same SMU design, it is Turing architecture.

However, the TU116(1660Ti) is designed for a different price point, not binned to that price point target at the bottom end of mid-range. It never was designed to "interface" for lack of a better word with other units for to execute operations.

So since the 1660Ti doesn't require other units or those units connections to the substrate to function, it is a smaller die. Smaller die, greater yield per waffer.. etc.

Edt: I never heard of a 1680 Ti, just noticed that is what you asked. Is that being released? Leaks?

I forgot. Wait till prime day. eBay usually does a counter offer of that day. Something like 20% off everything. This is when I got most of my stuff.

You know, I asked Reddit the other day about the prime days and I was told it’s basically a garage sale for crap that hasn’t sold in months. Rarely does anything of value get put on sale. And if it does, there’s a limited supply.

Hey, do you guys know if amazon will reimburse you if you make a purchase one day at a price and later it drops in price? Like within a week or so?

AMD just price cut them ahead of launch.

No, NDA is release day I'm pretty sure.

Per AMD, 5700XT is about 15% more powerful than Vega 64 at about 75w less draw.

My Vega is now on eBay.

ETA: Scratch that, sold it to a friend for $200 so he can finally upgrade his 280X.

In June, AMD announced that the Navi-powered Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 would debut with price tags of $449 and $379, respectively. The Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition was expected to cost $499.

But today's report claims that upon launch, the Radeon RX 5700 XT will actually cost $399, the Radeon RX 5700 will be $349, and the Anniversary Edition card will go for $449.

5700XT is supposed to be between a 2070 and a 2070 Super and/or 14% over Vega 64.

They are all still under NDA so no real tests yet though.

Official btw:

AMD is also launching a 50th Anniversary Edition variant of their Radeon RX 5700 XT featuring a black and gold shroud with frequencies of 1680 MHz base clock, 1830 MHz game clock and boost clocks of up to 1980 MHz. This variant would deliver a total Compute power of 10.14 TFLOPs and should be around 5-10% faster than the Radeon RX 5700 XT.
