it's bundled with (2)2x8 sticks of RAM. I believe the 2600x is actually $187 and the 2600 is $150 on amazon. are those prices too high, as well?

Oh okay guess I should have clicked on it.

Still though, 3600X is $249 and a lot more performance. Or 3600 non X at $199.

RAM is pretty cheap these days isn't it? Tough to not go that route.

couple of questions about those.

X vs non-X - X can be OC'd and the non-X can't?
these are Ryzen 3 or 5?

and one more based on the overall build. how would you rate it as a mid-high gaming machine? i don't plan on playing alot of DIFFERENT games on it. mainly modern warfare when it releases. at 1080p at high to ultra settings. the recommended specs haven't been announced yet, but if you had to guess...

No they can all be overclocked. Just different binning so won't OC as high as the X version in theory.

Should be very solid. Pretty sure the 2060 tears through any game at 1080p. The 6GB of memory would be my only concern for that card but I'm not sure how much 1080p is using these days.

Microcenter having the 1600 for $80 has ruined all cheaper CPU AMD prices for me

Better chips that can be OC'ed higher.

The lower end chips will have disabled cores and lower overclock headroom and that's why they are say a 3600 chip now instead of a 3900.

Yep, you can get 16gb for like $70 now. I think I paid like $150 for my 4x8gb set.

I went ahead and bought another G613. I love the one I use as my daily driver, so I figured I might as well get one for work.

Now I'll have a G703 wireless and a G613 wireless at home and work

You can still get away with 4 GB of memory at 1080p on most games.

6 will be good for a while.

What about the RX Vega 56? MSI has an 8gb OC model. Went to GPU Check and it appears that it performs better than a 2060. Plus it’s cheaper. What do y’all think?

I just told my friend yesterday to get a Vega 56 instead of an RX 590. They are so cheap right now for the performance.

i guess based on my current list of parts i plan to buy, 1080p at 60 hz.
i definitely need a new monitor. i'm currently running to 24" LCD tvs with an old HP monitor. i may snag one on black friday or something.

Ew. Last time I played on 60hz I thought I was lagging because I forgot I was on 60hz.

i assume 60hz because that's currently what my LCD tvs are.

they're supposed to be 720p resolution but when i use them on my computer, it jumps to 1080p for some reason.

144hz monitors are getting even cheaper now too. Sub $150 is easy to find now

I remember only like 2-3 years ago they were still $200+
