I would pay up to a 25% premium for the convenience of getting my hands on hardware today.

I wont pay a 200% premium.

These shops still think its 1994 and the only way I can order computers is through PC Magazine.

Definitely the case, but I usually go to Fry's because it takes thirty minutes longer to drive to MC than it does to go to one the 4 Fry's. :(

I think by the time I pay taxes and shipping it would be a wash anyway.

eBay has a 20% off coupon going today until 9pm. Perfect time to get a 7700k, ram and a mobo

I just grabbed another server and two 4tb drives. I think I'm going to throw in the elgato hd 60 pro and make it a little streaming PC.

I want to figure out how to rack mount my PC and put it in my server closet, but still not have any input lag with the long cable runs to the monitors. I think my wireless peripherals should still work with the PC being in the closet

My OnePlus 3T may be dead. What's the phone to get these days? Pixel 2 XL? OnePlus 6?

Picked up a Dell Ultrasharp U2518D, for 160 it looked like a great deal for a nice 2K screen.

Returned the XL for the regular Pixel last Fall/Winter. My XL had all kinds of display issues. But no worry for you here, all those should be corrected.

AMD bringin' some more pain, full steam ahead.

32 core Threadripper 2 reality vs 28 core Intel fantasy

Nice little video. AMD really putting the hurt on Intel in the HEDT space to go with EPYC.

7nm Zen 2 cores already in labs for EPYC2, early 2019 is full steam ahead, rumor is 64 cores. Intel still can't get 10nm ready in any phase.

My oh my.

quote:

AMD’s CEO Lisa Su only flashed the 7nm EPYC processor with the cap on, emblazoned with the company’s logo and model. No further details have been revealed about what kind of dies Zen 2 will hold or the resulting performance, however the second-generation of EPYC processors will continue to use the same SP3 socket as its predecessors.

The 7nm process opens up a lot of avenues for the Red Team moving forward, with rumours circulating earlier this year that EPYC “Rome” chips could eventually skyrocket to a staggering 64 cores. Whether this speculation holds weight or not, the true importance of 7nm chips comes from AMD’s competitive time frame in comparison to its rival, Intel.

AMD holds their word, Zen 2 on the same socket as previous Zen.

So I'm having an issue with this brew build. I can't get it to run anything without it crashing. I'm trying update the drivers on the mother board and video card. I run the executable file and the screen just goes blank and the "check signal cable" pops up. I first thought it was the video card drivers causing they problem so I did a system restore and tried to update the mother board, but it did the same thing when I went to run the executable file.

Edit.... now it just did it when I was just messing around in windows, so is it maybe a power supply issue or the cpu getting too hot?
