Is there a market for 9 year old power supplies?

Ducky Shine problem, in Dead Space 2&3 and now in WoW I find that if I hold down certain keys too long it locks up some of the key and when I press them all I get is a "clicking" sound through my speakers.

Send it back. Nothing sounds right about this. So don't believe it's a board setting that was activated on accident.

Maybe flash a fresh firmware to the board before sending back.

Man jayztwocents sucks.

Dude has the less technical videos out if all the big YouTube guys.

Crazy to say this but Linus is getting serious credit lately. They are starting to do really good work.

Should I install the PSU with the fan facing down in my new case?

Doesn't matter unless you put case on carpet.

I always face into the case fwiw.

Yeah, it's on a table and the legs on the case are kinda tall too.
But yeah, I've always had the fan facing up. Gonna have an i5 8400 and 1080 Ti (Nvidia blower) crammed into this MATX case (Cooler Master N200).

TBH ATX and mATX isn't much of a difference, especially the volume inside the case. You are fine. Not much using crazy amounts of power.

The PSU fans pulls air over components from the side. You aren't pushing air out but pulling air in from the bottom.

It exhausts out the back.

ILike schooled me on this two build ago when he told me my PSU was upside down.

Turned out my Ducky only need a FN+F5 to slow the repeat keys.

Yep. Also I rather pull cleaner case air into the PSU than dirtier ground air. You will never open up that PSU and clean off the heat stinks.

It really is preference and/or situation. Example my FreeNAS box the PSU pulls air from the outside. The case houses the PSU in the middle. Meaning the PSU just spills hot air into the case. So I suck cooler air from the outside instead of recycling warmer air.

Yeah DS have all these settings I never use. So sometimes if you get crazy during playing you can accidentally enable something not attended.

I like that the PSU is mounted sideways in my case; it pulls filtered air from the side, which is at least better than gathering all the floor dust.

Do y'all ever look at your order history on sites like Newegg?

On 12/2/2007, I bought a Rosewill case for $45 that came with a crappy 450W PSU.
On 2/10/2008, I bought an EVGA 8800 GTS for $313.
On 2/17/2008, I bought a Rosewill 750W PSU for $130 after the 8800 GTS blew up my crappy 450W PSU.

Tired of striking out on craigslist, FB marketplace, etc. for cheap 1060's. This is shite but it's a hell of a lot better than my 660

A 1050 Ti is really where you want to be at for 1080 gaming. I have no experience with a 1050 but with a similar 1050 Ti it did everything I wanted with few compromises at 1080/60fps.

well shite. I can still send it back for a refund.

Best Buy has a 2gb for $200 and a 4gb for $300. Is it absolutely worth the extra $100 to get the 4 gig?

Man I don't want you to pay $300 for a damn 1050 Ti. My 1050 Ti in one of my laptops is a 4GB. It does use 2.5GB of VRAM when playing AC: Origins. Just as a note. But the is an open world game. You might be able to get by with a 2GB version. Just will see more "popping" as items load in while wondering in the world.
