So is Ampere basically a Pascal refresh?

Pretty sure everyone wanting one will have to jump on these on Day 1 to have a shot at getting them from the miners.

Ran to BestBuy yesterday and bought the new Surface Pen and matching alcantara type cover as well as a 200GB SD card.

Pro is supposed to be here Tuesday, going to give it a couple week trial run and see how it fits my needs before I decide if I'll keep it or return it and go Book 2.

I missed something.

Didn't get the Book?

Edt: Invest in the Surface Arc. It compliments the setup very well. The mouse lays flat for off mode. Everything is super portable but that damn pin. There is just never a good spot for it within the sleeve the Surface Pro occupies.

Awesome. I remember now that you decided on the Pro instead. Did you decide on the i7 with an Iris Pro or just the i5?

I do have a complaint about the i5. Wish it had a fan. It wants to throttle more often than I would prefer. The system can feel less snappy at times depending on the process, but only for brief instances.

i7 with Iris.

Yeah I've read good and bad on that fanless i5, I don't think I'd trade silence for thermal throttling.

Do any of you stream regularly?

I don't have any desire to stream seriously or anything, but I was messing around with OBS and Twitch and had a couple questions that I'm not finding clear answers on with just a google search.

I got OBS and Twitch to work by messing with it, but I noticed a couple things.

1. FPS on OBS/Twitch didn't seem like 60 FPS, especially when moving.
2. In game text was funny and not readable. Example: League of Legends - Names on health bars/in game menu were blurry and couldn't be read.

Are those two issues I can fix?

Do your settings in OBS show 60FPS? Do you have the PC specs to push that?

Yeah, I see the settings on OBS showing 60.

I run an i7 7700k with a 1080. I was told I shouldn't have any problems streaming if I wanted by someone who does regularly.

My internet have 300mbps upload on my internet as well, I don't know if that info is useful or not.

*Disclaimer, Im not on my pc at home. Just trying to do some research at work while Im bored.

Is it all text? or just certain text

I would look into settings and see what resolution you are streaming

It depends on how big the text is, the bigger it is, the clearer it is.

The name name on my health bar is barely readable, smaller text looks like chicken scratch.

Was talking to a friend of mine who says that his does that to, but when someone watches it on mobile, it's clear as day. I watch other people play league and stuff on my pc and their screen/text isn't fuzzy like mine when it's larger. It gave me a headache trying to figure it out this morning.

Without being on Discord to run through your settings with you, your best bet would be to look up a YouTube video for best OBS settings.

There are a lot of different ones but I'm sure someone has a "best settings for LoL" video.

Totally understandable, I know it's hard to know an issue with just a description. Thanks for your input. I will look into it more when I get home.
