Does it make you feel like a psychopath?

You've seen my computer/gaming room, it's not that clean. I'm not dirty but not spotless. Just the weird thing about my hands feeling oily.

hey y'all, need some help. I just completed a move where my computer and other belongings were in storage for about a month and a half. The computer was heavily wrapped as to protect all of the components. I plugged my computer in and enjoyed a night of streaming and carrying on with no issues (first night was a stream on PS4). The following night, I wanted to play some PC games on stream so I fired up the game and was going good for like 15 minutes when I got the BSoD. After that, my computer beeped 4 times and came up with an overheating error. It hasn't happened since then, and my PC was extremely hot. I have since unplugged and re-connected the wires. I havea a Corsair H50 cooler on my CPU. Should I apply new thermal paste to it? What other things would have caused my CPU to overheat?

I sold that 980 Ti I've had for months.

Edt:
Sorry.

Was really looking forward to watching you wash my truck.

Make sure the pump is working. If the CPU block is firmly mounted and the fan is running, then it's likely the pump has failed or is not plugged in properly.

dumb question: What's the best way to ensure the pump is working?

I have very little pride. I'll wash it for sack of stale gum drops.

You can feel it turning.

Slightly pinch and see if you feel resistance. Not much, slightly.

You'd probably feel it vibrating. Don't remember if it's in the block or radiator. If it's connected to a fan control header on the board, you should be able to see its RPMs in the bios or some monitoring software like HWMonitor.

You can actually feel the rotation on those cheap DDC pumps.

Just cup it in your hand. You will feel the wheel turning clockwise unless you reverse polarity. They are direct current

Also, the GPU feels really hot as well.

Edit: That temp is just me playing CS:GO without streaming

I'm not at all happy with the tube lengths, but I can work on that. Bleeding the system some and checking for leaks. I wanted to get everything up and running, make sure everything is running fine, then I will probably play around with the tubing some more. Really appreciate the parts, ilikeLSUToo. This has been a ton of fun to learn.

Dust in cooler fins? Also thermal paste drys and cracks over time. Esp if you haven't heated it up in some time. Probably not the issue but always good to repaste if its 2-3+yrs.

I've used almost a full can of air to get any would be dust out of anything/everything. It hasn't been two years with the 8350. I started off with the 8320 and upgraded sometime in the last year or so to the 50

Edit: Honestly, the Graphics card feels way hotter than anything else. It's a 750Ti

Looks awesome. Really digging those Monsoons.

But Go Res/Pump -> GPU -> CPU -> RAD

It will be easier to manage those hoses and probably look nicer. A little uncomfortable looking right now.

Wait you will go Res/Pump -> GPU -> RAD -> CPU once you get the card in? That will work since you have the inlets to the back of the case. I usually put them to the front, why idk. Looks neater sometimes and you have shorter runs of tubing.

Looks like we have the same case.

I have to hand it to you guys that do water cooling, I just don't have the patience or desire to do it.

Thought so.

Aveeno is too greasy for me. One thing about Working Hands is its more wax than oil.

Yeah I've heard O'Keeffe's stuff is good but never tried it, Aveeno has always worked well and Jergens was pretty meh.
