People like to shite on Sprint, and yeah they are slow, but I at least HAD frickING SERVICE.

Really disappointed with Cricket. For the first month they were as advertised, but it's been bad ever since.

Samsung SM961 is not only incredibly faster, but also cheaper with more space.

Kinda overkill on the SSD and memory imo.

Edit: $250+ for a sound card? Yikes.

A bit much to use with an evo cooler. A waste. Plenty of cheaper motherboards out there capable of the same functionality. But this is the least egregious thing.

Are you an animator for Pixar?

Even if you're video editing, no way. Don't just load up on the slowest memory available. Drop down to 16GB, unless you're a professional video editor or 3d modeler, in which case, drop down to 32GB.

Nah, get the Samsung.

Sound Card: Asus Xonar Essence STX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card ($269.04 @ Amazon)

Eek. Why? I'm guessing this is not a video/3d workstation machine because there's just no need for this. An an audio workstation would be using external interfaces and a DAC.

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($429.99 @ Amazon)

And I'm guessing you ran out of money, because a build in the $2000 range would be using two of these. Instantly able to shave off $400+ from the other excesses that add no performance, so you can, at the very least, get a 1080.

Unless this is not a gaming build?

I was wondering why a 1070 was in a 2K build, you all have covered the ram.

Flashbacks.

Also, long day.

In other news, I really like the S7. However, it seems to have very shitty Qi range. Won't charge on my Tylt Vue with a case, or at least not the case she chose (just a cheap low profile plastic case with a pretty design on it, nothing bulky like an otterbox). I convinced her to use a skin instead.

How is the touch wiz? I would own an S6 or S7 if it wasn't for that crap. It overwhelming to me.

Edt: Also only used non-tech ppls Galaxies before. So the touch wiz was turned up to 11.

Not as bad as I expected it to be. Though I read that Samsung seems to move Touchwiz closer to stock with each iteration. So I guess the process of debloating it and beefing up hardware specs over the years has finally made it a lag-free experience. It's just a little cluttered, but easily solved with Nova Launcher or Google Now launcher. I'm sure most people don't do any customization with it and just treat it like an iPhone.

EDIT: This has me seriously considering the next Galaxy Note.

I wish these founders edition of the 1080 would go the frack away, I am tired of seeing them the only cards available. It's been a month and the other cards are not available unless you want newegg to frack you without the courtesy of a reach around, how they are getting stock is beyond me and people are sucking them up at inflated prices.

I've officially switched over to Project Fi. Ordered my Nexus 5x as well, only paid $200 for it unlocked. Potentially too much phone for me but it should last me a LONG time with my light usage.

We'll see how Fi works out.

You will be disappointed. Return or wait a few months. The 808 is not super responsive and battery life sucks.

Also each update from Google is slowing down my 5X. I was a big N5 fan, but this wasn't a direct replacement. Using it daily just because its the perfect size as my N6 is too large and Moto X 2 camera is garbage.
