Aren't you the one with that awful PSN ID I roll my eyes at every time I see it online?

Gotta have a FreeSync monitor, eleven releasing this month from 1080p/144Hz to 1440p/144Hz to 4K 60Hz.

I may be grabbing a 4K FreeSync, or may get the 1440/144Hz instead, depends on the pricing. Already have a Korean 1440 so idk.

If those panels are TN like my ASUS 1440/144/G-Sync, fckk it. I rather game on my Crossover's at 1440/90. TNs still look like shtt next to the deep colors and true blacks of an IPS panel.

Just from personal experience, wish I would have waited until the IPS 1440/120/GSyncs released. Now I guess its waiting for a 4K/60/GSync IPS after full GM200s are launched.

Most of them are IPS, the Asus I'm eyeing specifically. The LG's are IPS as well as the BenQ's.

Also eyeing the Samsung UE850 4K, not sure if IPS or not, little info so far.

Yeah, i'm saying don't cheap out on a TN panel just for FreeSync.

So you pay a little extra for more processing power from the T-Con.

Definitely not, IPS only. If the 4K's aren't IPS I'll go with a 144Hz 1440p IPS.

Some will be available as soon as this month and all will be available to purchase at some point before the end of March. I can confirm that both monitors from LG are IPS based and the three UE850 models from Samsung are based on the virtually identical competing panel technology from Samsung, PLS.

Yep, worth the wait. I purchased the ASUS ROG PG278 something something at launch, it was before a 4K/GSync became available and plus we don't have cards/SLi scaling to properly push 4K.

I'm hoping nVidia launches the an unlocked GM200 with 6GB of VRAM within 2 months of that Titan X launch. Then again, how can anyone resist purchasing two Xs for SLi?

If Nvidia doesn't do something worth a shite with Gsync soon, I'm jumping ship again. Assuming freesync is as good.

I'm sure the Acer XB270HU will be great, but it's going to be overpriced and impossible to get.

So all the IPS panels will be LG panels in all PLS Samsung panels. Just like the last 4yrs, LG (not monitor brand, the panel) have made the best panels for years.

Who is the only company still manufacturing OLED panels; is it LG?

Yeah, LG isn't releasing a 4K version though, Samsung is the only one with a 4K FreeSync releasing this month, but I love Samsung have 3 of their TV's so no biggy there.

Believe so, Samsung said none for 2015.

Yeah, I love them once you turn off features like ClearMotion and do some color calibration. Their panels always look washed out.

It's interesting you say that the TN panel in the Swift doesn't compare to your LG panel. I asked about this on OCN in the ROG Swift thread, and was met with a pissy response and that they were indistinguishable from an IPS. I guess people are just too in denial when they spend a lot of money.

Based on the inconsistency in quality I've been reading about in reviews, I've been reluctant to pull the trigger on one for several months. I definitely won't buy one now. The lack of competition has been frustrating.

I basically stopped posting on OCN but stay in TekSyn forums. OCN community has been dumbed down a little.

You're right about the money/denial issue. The TN looks great, really does, but but blacks aren't true and colors not as rich. Someone probably wouldn't notice unless you had them side by side to compare.
