tbh I hope we can turn this off for online franchises
We’ll see how well tuned it is. If it’s off one way or the other, hopefully they tune it well according to feedback. Or they have a sliding scale of how impactful it is.
Madden had a progressive fatigue system which pretty much had to be turned off.

I'm sure it will have its issues like all games, but it seems like they really worked hard to differentiate it from Madden and to be honest the way it looks makes it seem so much smoother.
yep. hopefully they can get a game that plays well this year and build on that next year.
millions of people playing the game will figure out what needs to be changed way quicker than the dev team.

Ya I don't know why I got down voted on my post about this. EAs track record for this kind of stuff isn't exactly sterling.

Different development team is why.
Plus we don’t really know the impact of it yet. With Progressive Fatigue we have two years of it being trash and the Madden team has done frick all to adjust it.

Idk how I missed this early with hot routes:
This year, before each snap, you'll notice several enhancements designed to amplify the strategic gameplay. Hot routes have undergone a revamp, providing all players with access to 12 unique routes. For instance, the new "Bang 8" route has been incorporated into the Outside WR tree. The entire route tree is readily available for all Quarterbacks without the need of an ability.
Defensively, the risk factor associated with Run Commit has been toned down as well. Traditionally, the risk was conceding a touchdown if the offense opted for a pass, with the reward potentially being a tackle for loss. Now, this mechanic only affects defenders positioned in the box.
Lastly, we're introducing 'Custom Stems,' a new feature that allows you to adjust the distance of a receiver's route. While hot routing, press and hold L1/LB to start adjusting. Move LS to modify the distance by a single yard, or the D-Pad for alterations in 5-yard increments. You can see the route update in real-time. Simply release L1/LB to confirm your settings, and you're all set.

That’s gonna be nice but that’s also gonna mean that I’m not gonna want the accelerated play clock. Gonna need the entire time to make adjustments.
Used to play accelerated where you get to the line with 5 seconds left.

Where is Gritz?
He may need to eat some crow because from what I saw, that looks like a completely different game from Madden
we’ll have the final verdict in July but..

I’ve always like the idea of instead of just pushing the button to throw to a certain receiver, why not just have the players run their routes and have a target pop up on screen and be able to throw to a spot. Have some sort of meter like 2k where if it’s a perfect it’s on the money and if not it’s a little off depending on the distance of the throw and qb skill. Pass rush could affect it as well. Kind of like the kick meter the already have

Why is Pitt 90 ovr?
And why does Clemson have 98 ovr defense? Is it 2018? Baylor at 87 ovr is also laughable. They are trending down and lost to Texas state last year. Some of these ratings need to really be adjusted.

Ratings shown aren’t final, it was stated in the preview screenshots. PFF helped EA with the official ratings so I’m sure they will be fine once we see the real ones.

This honestly looks amazing. Jesus Christ I can’t wait till July 16

Okay idk why but the victory formation tidbit rocks

And ruin my qb's rushing stats? Nah, they can stop my offense still.

Do they rate different positions more heavily? I feel like sometimes you seem trans with high overall ratings that really aren’t that good, on the game or in real life. And vice versa, some teams who’s overall rating might not be that high but play really well, when you play with them. I remember back in madden 21 49ers and titans come to mind. Both were 81 ovr but were way better than the Steelers, raiders, bears, and even the saints imo.

Love what I'm seeing even if it does have very similar Madden movement and animations. It all looked smoother. I just hope we can turn off that icon above the receivers head. That will get really distracting especially for us that like a clean screen.

That’s a great feature for those who will use it but I’ll use victory formation on my very first offensive snap as a tribute to those we lost since the last game but I never use mercy in my dynasty games. frick them kids.
