This game feels a lot like when NCAA first made the transition from PS2 to PS3. Think it was NCAA 08. That game was BAD but still fun. And then 09 came out and it was way better

For dynasty recruiting, how do I stop recruits from signing with me that I didn't recruit. Since you can't cut or force out any incoming recruits, I'd prefer to not have to give a spot to someone I didn't want instead of a player already on my team.
I would say you probably have something set to automatic or assisted so the CPU is filling out your board.
Going to have to pay much closer attention to the numbers game recruiting going forward. Just finished my first season and found out that I wouldn't be able to cut any of the freshmen I didn't want to keep, like year's past.

Fellas-
Sorry if this has been asked, I planned on going back like 30 pages to when the game came out last week and catching up on this thread but I really dont feel like doing that at the moment
I haven't played a football game on xbox since the last NCAA so im obviously completely rusty. My plan is to just ease back into it playing on varsity while using classic passing just to get the feel for everything and try to learn about all the customization/audibles
I have 2 questions:
1. What passing setting should I eventually use? I'm not trying to be super highly ranked or anything but will prob mostly play online and against my friends. Im guessing I need to use one of the options other than classic passing. Does everyone use revamped or one of the other options?
2. Is there a certain offensive and/or defensive system/playbook that I should run? I guess just curious if there's anything super popular or a meta of some sorts. The little I've played I have just used LSU's spread offense
Would greatly appreciate any answers and/or other tips yall might have

I think the consensus right now is the placement and accuracy is the way to go. It gives you the most control to do back shoulder throws, stop guys when they hit a soft spot, etc. It still works similar to the old way where if you just tap the button, it will loft the ball and the longer you hold it down, the more of a bullet it will be. It just also gives you more window control and the meter bar for the throws gives you some options for ideal throws for where the guys is/how open he is.

Offensively, there are a ton of good playbooks out there and kind of just depends on what you like. Kansas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Oregon, UNLV, and Auburn all have really good spread playbooks with a lot of good big play potential plays in them. On Auburns though, I did a custom playbook to add some additional run plays as theirs is lacking some of the better plays in the game in that department. UGA and Michigan both have good more pro style/multiple offenses. Or you can just use the multiple offense.
Defensively, I don't think anybody knows at this point lol. The 3-3-5/nickle is probably the most used right now just due to the amount of spread offenses. I did a modified multiple defensive playbook that has been working decent.

I have it on manual, but year 1 I signed 2 guys not on my board. I’m hoping that doesn’t continue.

Missed a dead on 45 yard field goal to tie the game in the natty as time expired. Brutal

i just learned that for Revamp passing, if you press/hold L1/LB, your QB will throw the ball slightly higher than normal.
this was new to me.
i knew L2/LT does something for Placement and Accuracy, but i learned that last week. apparently, these "features" have been in Madden for several iterations now.

This game is arse. Everyone online uses Georgia or Alabama. Milroe is a cheat code and way better in this game than his bum arse in real life. It’s not fun anymore

This just in, people abuse the meta online

Sorry you can’t adapt.
Another one that wanted to beat everyone 88-2 immediately while signing all the 5 star recruits at Eastern Mississippi Tech

People throw shade for no reason. I am 28-15 in ranked play in "All-Conference." Not great, but solid. I think I can "adapt" you bum. It just isn't fun playing the number 1 team or all universe Milroe every game.

Since the patch dbs don’t seem to be in the right spots.
The angles have improved but now guys just sitting behind wrs instead of being aggressive. Also for whatever reason it’s not switching over to the right guy

I've been having those issues pre-patch so I don't think that was the problem.

They might as well change Play Action to just being named Auto Sack in the playbook

09 was complete arse. The only good aspect about it was Teambuilder. You had DTs and DEs running down HBs WRs from behind with speed ratings 25-35 lower than them. It was probably the worst major college football game of all time.

It has been a problem for a while in Madden too. You have to really time your PA passes or yea, it is an auto-sack almost. Seems like any PA play I call is either busted coverage TD or i'm sacked before even completing my drop.

Yea I’ve had a few work after smashing run over and over and over and then anticipating being open down field.
Also after my post complaining about DBs in the wrong spot, my d goes out and forces 5 turnovers and a block field goal. I was up 45-3 at the half and the cpu did mass subs on its own

Any playbooks y’all recommend? I’ve been leaning towards the generic Power Spread since it has tight end sets as well as your traditional spread looks

Yea, pull the RT/R2 in the middle of the play action animation to stop it and be able to throw.
