Thought I had recruiting solved. Had a system. System seemed to be really good, but I think visits are super important to get in early in the season. Which sucks because rivalry games at the end of the season give you a bonus.

If you can schedule a top 10 OOC home game around week 5, I think it may be the missing link.

I heard this on a podcast today

When you’re in dynasty mode and the offensive coordinator job at your school, you still play defense? Is that true?

You can play the entire game.

When I’m OC I set it for just Offense. Basically to give it more realism.

Not true…you have the option to pick before every game. I’m currently the OC for ULL. You can either do full game, offense only or defense only and maybe a “big moment” option but I can’t recall. I keep it at offense only.

So it’s an option, that makes sense. They made it sound like it wasn’t.

I can’t wait to get started in dynasty on Friday

In my dynasty Georgia is in the playoffs but their offensive playcalling is a little head scratching. They throw the ball 81% of the time

Recruiting question. Why can’t I send the house? I have enough hours, and I removed an action from this guy so I only have to actions. When I hit send the house, nothing happens.

I have been having fun with the super wide shotgun stack formations from Tennessee. Got nice mirrored bubble RPOs if they don’t have safety help over top. If they widen the safeties, the inside zone is basically 5v5 in the box and almost guaranteed 6-10 yards if you read the cut.

The pistol formations have lots of jet sweeps and touch pass that are incredibly effective, and fakes off of those for inside zone and play action passes.

Those are the two little “games” I’ve found that I go to when I get in a bind. Throwing the ball downfield can be sketchy at best. Can lose yourself a game quickly with a couple picks, so I’ve been trying to control the game with those 2 sets above, and then pick my places to take deep shots. Now whether or not these strategies will work vs a human opponent who’s more likely to see the jet coming and actually adjust to the wide scheme, I don’t know. Haven’t played online vs anybody yet.

You only get 50 or 60 hours per recruit (or at least that’s the case for me right now), if you already have something going for that recruit, might not have the 50 hours needed to send the house.

Can’t believe I got into a shootout with Kentucky while playing with Texas.

Tried practicing the “don’t sprint out the gate” technique. Still difficult if the OL doesn’t block.

Defense is just killing me. No matter what I do, there is always a wide receiver running wide arse open, yet my guys can’t get open to save their life.

They've got to do something about how the rankings are calculated during the season. Just finished a season where an 8-4 Oklahoma team was 10th in the SEC but ranked 3rd in the country and seeded 5th in the CFP. It's all kinds of fricky.

Before they could just copy/paste the BCS formula. Now it seems they've come up with their own formula and it's complete dogshit.

yeah I made the cfp and my first round opponent was a 9-3 Kansas state team, who was legit the 3rd easiest team I played that season.
