Jam. Hopefully they'll have all this sorted out by the time I pick mine up in time for titanfall. Last thing MS needs is another RROD type situation. Any response from MS on percentages affected?

Just thought of... didn't the original XBOX have a disc drive issue?

Maybe, but they introduced the install feature to reduce wear on the disc drives. But this one, I can't even install games!

I just feel like I remember either the tray coming out and not going back in, or coming out and falling off the console.

They did. But at least for me they weren't evident until a few years after launch. Xboxes weren't fitted with the same disc drive for everyone. Some of the games in the latter years of the xbox would give the "dirty disc" error if you had a certain type of drive. I had to send my xbox in to MS to fix that issue.

I don't know if y'all saw my post in the SG's thread, but I worked from 9 to 1 getting things set up. I spent two hours replacing my HDMI, optical, and Ethernet cables in my entertainment center. I wired it up Cable Box & Apple TV>receiver>Xbox One> TV.
When I went to set up the TV in the Xbox one, I had audio and no video. So frick. I pulled everything back out of my entertainment center and wired it Cable Box>Xbone>receiver>TV. Turned everything on, go to set up TV in the xbox and frick. 4:3 picture instead of 16:9. All xbox menus were 16:9 and looked great though. TV not so much.
I think I finally isolated the problem to the new 12' HDMI cable I got from monoprice. Since I'm not going to go to Best Buy/Walmary/Target and pay out the arse for an HDMI cable, I ordered one next day from Amazon that should be here Monday.

Little known fact. Big lots has hdmi cords for around $10 all the time.

Interesting. Just looked at Big lots, 12' for $17. I ended up getting 2 15' from amazon and overnight shipping for $25.
I'm just going to plug xbox directly into my tv and not use the HDMI in until I get all the cables sorted out.
I was defeated last night though. 4 hours working on that shite. Then I had to wake up at 6 and start smoking a brisket for the A&M game.

I wouldn't buy an HDMI from Big Lots, they tend to get faulty equipment that they can sell cheap.

ok, is anyone havig a problem where your in a game, BF4 in particular, and suddenly, it leaves game and goes back to home?

I haven't, but I've heard BF has terrible issues on PC, XB and PS4 across the board.

This piece of shite Xbox One can't even play a game off the hard drive. I seriously hope this is just a defective unit because it won't even load NBA 2k14 without issues.
