Is it better to sell or break down?

Depends if you want to bother with crafting

Even then I usually sell shite

Regular plate armor sells for a frickton. I usually break down stuff for leather and sell everything else.

I usually sold items. The only items I crafted were the gear sets. Once you get high enough you need to seek those sets out. Just like someone said earlier the Feline armor is the tits. Ursine is pretty nice as well.

It's pretty expensive to breakdown. I would only do it if you absolutely need the materials

I also don't think it's worth it to remove glyphs and runestones since you will loot so godamn many of them

Finished the barron missions, I couldn't beat him in gwent because my deck sucks but didn't someone say the card he gives you can be found in his room?

I may still be able to play him, idk

oh and im only a level 8 after doing all of those missions

wish I would have listened to the thing in the tree I want to kill the crones, do I get a chance latter in the game?

I though I would with the barron but it was just some fiend of something

I never even tried to play the baron but yeah I believe someone said the card is on his desk or something

The 3 crones quest is what hooked me. Thought they were so creepy. I actually stumbled upon that tree while exploring that side of the map before I ever knew about the crones or bloody baron. Elected to set the spirit free which is good for nan but end ups getting the kids killed.

I don't think you will see the crones again...at least I haven't so far

Idk what to tell ya about the level. I was around level 12 I believe after those quests but like I said I did every contract, question mark, and side quest before continuing with the baron/Keira Metz quests. Examining all the yellow notice boards will open up a lot more ? Marks in the area...I didn't realize that for awhile

Yeah im hooked this time, crones were crazy and when I found jonny in the little cave and he pocked his creepy eye around the corner I freaked out. oh and the creepy baby fetus thing was good too

I guess I need to knock out more ?'s or something. Im starting to get used to the fighting and its not as hard anymore. using the oils is a big help on deth march. I have a few treasure quest for the Cat armor but im still to low to start it.

question: If im putting points into Igni but don't have it applied in one of the skill spots is it getting better? I just cant really tell when I use it

No. You have to put it in a slot. Once it's all the way upgraded it causes huge burn damage and will kill most humans in one hit. It's my go-to. Don't think I've ever even used aard

quen thing is a fricking life saver to me, some things will kill me in two hits. so I use quen a good bit.

I need to level up to get more slots

we might rain out around 10, if so I know what im gonna do the next 12 hrs

Yeah I didn't undwrstand what the frick quen did until I fought Geralt in that cave with Keira and was like oh shite he's using quen that's what that does lol.

At level 17 I've got 9 of 12 slots open with all 3 greater mutagen boosts so I'm slaying. I'll probably use the last 3 for the miscellaneous yellow upgrades since I haven't done any of those. Just all magic and attack with a few potion upgrades

I really need to get a move on with the main story. At level 17 and I'm only a few main quests ahead of you. Overtime is dying down a little so hopefully this weekend I'll get some legit hours in

I don't think I ever died again after upgrading quen to the health shield. It's super overpowered. Well, I didn't die (post upgraded quen) except for the times I was exposed to the insane fall damage in the game.

I played last night for the first time in months and go wrecked by the golem and Niflrager or whatever the frick his name was. I'm shitty at this game/games in general and both my swords are broken.

So I should head to novigrad now even to do the lower missions and not finish everything where I'm at now?

I'm level 12 on my play through and haven't really even started in Novigrad yet. I just went to all of the notice boards around Velen then knocked out all the missions around my level.

Novigrad is the best large scale city in video game history.

Actually feels alive whereas most cities have people standing in one spot repeating the same lines over and over. Sure there is some of that, but overall, it is easily the best large city to date.

Although I never got my bearing within the city. Even after 200 hours, I still got lost moving around in Novigrad.

It feels similar to the level of detail of a city in an Assassin's Creed game. It's all the more impressive when you consider all that exists outside the city walls in addition to Oxenfurt all on the same map with no loading screens in between.
