KD is only a small piece of it but it’s important. It is weighted against your recent games under the formula (whatever that is)
What region are you located?
What is your internet speed?
Who hosts?
What about your party members? Located in same region?
Do you have a high score per minute?
How many wins?
How many recent wins (past 100 games)?
How many kills?
With a 1.8 KD you should definitely get a bronze/silver/gold lobby every now and then (I consider them all about the same with bronze being total clueless bots).
I was playing with a 2.0 KD squad last week and we ended up in a gold lobby. It definitely happens. So to say you never get them is either flat out wrong or possibly explained by some factor other than KD.
People with 2.0 KDs get bronze lobbies. People with 6.0 KDs get them. I have without question had 20 games in a row where I had 15 diamond lobbies and 5 platinum (including diamond 1 top 1% where all of my teammates have below 0.5 KDs). But I occasionally get gold, silver and even bronze lobbies. Most of my PBs are in the bot lobbies. Everyone does. So to say you don’t is simply untrue or very unusual and explained by something specific to your stats or your network connectivity.

I'm 1.47 and I literally cannot think of a time I've gotten into a bronze lobby. We get silvers every now and then but I have never checked sbmmwarzone and seen bronze. I'm almost always platinum with a few diamonds and golds mixed in
one night I was playing with a friend who is .45. We got Diamond 1 four matches in a row.

It is a ratio of overall stats weighted against your more recent games.
But what really screws it up is that even though they say it isn’t supposed to happen your SBMM can lower your ping and dilute the quality of your gameplay

Like I said in my post, a lot of factors drive those last 20 games and it is heavily weighted based on your recent games. If you are doing poorly (relative to your skill set) matchmaking is designed to put you in an easier lobby eventually so that you won’t rage quit and stop playing the game. That’s all it does...try to keep people playing the game.
So your graphic tells me nothing really. I do not have a high KD in warzone and I get had 20 diamond lobbies with a few platinums mixed in there all the time. There are factors in my score per minute that drive this matchmaking. There are no actual conclusions to be had from this comparison.
And of course there is the reasonable possibility that many of the top WZ streamers are quasi cheating through the use of location/restricted routers so they get bot lobbies in Hawaii servers as opposed t sweat lobbies in LA servers (or for me I think Houston). But even the ones who play it straight will still get into some bot lobbies eventually. Matchmaking it designed for balancing highs and lows.

I got carried not by choice last night. I was playing quads and my genius buddy decided we needed to push a farmland team with a helicopter. At the time we all had our second loadout and were in prime position to all get into double digit kills. I knew getting into the heli was a bad idea because this kid could frick up a wet dream. So he goes and hovers on our bounty team, and they proceed to delete me with ground loot LMGs and I get dropped out the fricking sky. We won. But I did jack shite. Lost my guns to the red after I died and finally picked up a Kilo off someone. But was basically useless.

He had a 19 kill diamond lobby and the very next game was a 20 kill bronze lobby followed by a gold lobby. I’m confused on why you are taking up on activision so much. Sbmm is a joke and just needs to be taken out.

I’m not taking up for activision. They are ruining the game with this heavily weighted sbmm. And they have failed for a year to do anything about the cheaters. I have one in every lobby. I finished #2 in a lobby yesterday where I was trying to fight a hacker with an aim bot pellington at the race track past boneyard yesterday. He had 42 kills.
All I am saying is that even though I hate sbmm and it literally forces me to play a completely different game than some people play, I do understand how it works. And HFP saying he does not get anything less than platinum lobbies is simply not possible, or if it is then it’s explained by something that has nothing to do with his in game statistics. He may only get one every 50 games, but he still gets them. And if you and he still dispute that then give me his battle pass id so I can find him on sbmmwarzone and see for myself.

A few of us have gone back to playing the Modern Warfare multiplayer when we’re not on Warzone. It’s unreal how much better it plays than Cold War. IMO of course.
