Well they tweeted they’re nurfing the type 63, DMR, and those dual pistols.
Last night I placed 2nd twice in mini Warzone and died to the DMR and then died to the MAC 10. I quit after that.

I thought the Mac and pistols were fine. There are plenty of options at close range with the pistols, mac, and both mp5s being viable. If they only nerf the DMR, it'll just jump right to Type though.
I'm guessing with the nerf to the Type and DMR will come a buff to some CW ARs to make them stack up against the MW ones. If they just nerfed those two, and didn't touch anything else, AMax would be king.

They “nerfed” it this morning. It’s still ridiculously OP. I’m only playing Cold War until this fix it. Warzone hasn’t been fun for two weeks now.

I have zero CoD games on Xbox X. I saw Cold War came out a couple months ago. I know about the Warzone battle royale. But Modern Warfare came out in 2019?
Are all of these one game in terms of multiplayer? Like, should I just purchase the most recent game? Is Modern Warefare dying? etc.

people that bought black ops and hate it are the ones going back to modern warfare. but with warzone slowly transitioning to the black ops era, it makes sense to invest into black ops for the weapons alone. rank them up in multi and bring your loadouts to warzone if battle royale is your thing.
if it isn't, i would say that modern warfare's multiplayer is superior to black ops. and you should always be able to find a game due to the cross platform ability.
eta: i should clarify something. there are currently 3 COD games out right now.
1 - Modern Warfare - Paid
2 - Black Ops Cold War - Paid
3 - Warzone - Free
weapons from 1 and 2 can be used in 3.
perks and equipment from 1 are the only ones available for 3 and will probably transition from 1 to 2 in the next month or two.
