In Warzone that gun is trash. HDR, AX50, Kar are much better guns depending on how you like to snipe. You can't even one-shot with that gun at full plates and it's ADS is nothing great. Fun to make people explode in multiplayer but it's a gun to shelf.

Gentlemen:

The patch notes refer to "SCAR start ammo of 25 rounds". Does anyone know what that means? For me the default ammo mag on the SCAR is still 20 rounds.

The patch notes make it sound like they buffed the default ammo magazine from 20 to 25, which is kind of huge. But I'm not seeing that in game.

Anyone have an explanation?

Is that a bug? I figured it was intentional as a balancing thing. AOE dmg with 1 shot would be too much.

Max Ammo = Max amount in reserves (Example: 60 rd mags usually have 210 in reserve, now they could have 240)

Start Ammo = What is in reserve when you spawn. Typically its around 1-2 mags worth. If you have a 25 round mag, you might have 50 in the reserve to start. They buffed it to have like 75 now (3 mags).

It is. The gun is fairly balanced if not terrible as frick. The explosive/thermite rounds have awful velocity and need a ton of lead. The thermite only does like 32 damage over time. The explosive is only like 10-30 dmg on splash.

was tested by a YouTuber who does these things and he said he talked to Joe cecot and Joe said there are fixes on the way.

Still really tough to track with high movement. I'm torn on if I want to give up the MP5 for it.

I've tried it. I just don't know of a weapon for long range with it unless sniper. Flinch is so rough in this game any single shot gets made obsolete at range.

If you run double AR then you'll have issues with ammo

My buddy and I were running duos and he was put down and finished in about 1.5-2 seconds. We finished his partner, I turned around to replate, and between putting on my 3rd plate and turning back around, my partner was put down and killed.

I’m not a fan of this new meta. The Grau meta (still kinda present) was just annoying because I could get laser beamed from 200 yards out with that on full auto. The FAL is just a monster now in close in the right hands. The fight is over before it began.

The Fal takes barely any ammo though. It is very possible to run a long range AR/LMG with it if you want to. It's not an issue like running two full Autos.
My loadout is kar/fal or bruin/fal right now. Sometimes switch to m13/mp5 if I am off with my shot.

Yeah I leveled up the FAL a bit yesterday on MP. I've got to figure out the right attachments because god forbid I miss the first shot or two. Rapid-firing that thing just draws a big silhouette behind them.

Also I'm thinking about using the explosive sniper in WZ whenever I'm running quads. Everyone in my quad usually has snipers so I'm thinking about using that with my Grau just as a vehicle deterrent.
