I haven't had him but I've been using Vorstag the merc from Markarth and noticed he has much worse AI pathing or following than other followers. He too stops for no reason at all and I have to run back to him to find him and coax him to follow me again.

Everyone who uses a follower must see this, all followers have a max level and are higher in certain areas thus they level differently. This is a google spreadsheet of all the followers and their stats.

Great job by whoever did this.

Yeah not really sure on that one.

What is odd to me is that I have Vorstag who specializes in 1H and Blocking not 2H but he always insists on using a 2H if I give him one. Even if he has a great 1H sword and shield.

Because it a really lame and simple script, they always use the highest damage weapon, no matter the hand. Mages will use a 2hand greatsword if you give it to them.

That has to be wrong. In a game filled with freedom, they make you switch followers?

Plus, there is so much contradicting information out there, I;m never sure who to believe.

And Aranea is still my best follower, she can pwn everything but a dragon, I use Erandur for Dragon hunting.

I anyone a pure mage or mostly just tank mages? I guess a pure mage would be for just super role players. You could enchant armour to raise your magika faster and carry a weapon for extra damage. What I am saying is thinking about making a new character mage this time and were wondering what you guys were playing tank or pure mage.

I guess mine's a tank mage. I've used conjured weapons from the beginning - never bothered to carry anything around with me. I wear dragon plate armor all enchanted up. Before I got the dragon plate armor I just wore robes along with heavy boots/gauntlets/helmet.

My understanding is that your followers do not level up with you at all. At whatever level you are when you first encounter that character, that's the level he/she will remain throughout the duration of the game.

On PC there is a way to manually level up your followers via the console.

Depends on when you fast travel, if I travel during the day it usually ends up being at night and vice versa. I'm sure there is some formula in the game for how much time should pass when you fast travel.

Unless you fast travel at night, then it's in the middle of the day

I always check out what time it is before I fast travel. Nothing worse than showing up in town and all the stores being closed for 8 more hours. If it looks like I'll fast travel and arrive at night, I usually just walk it to kill time and pick stuff up on the way.

Do you not "wait"?

I always wait until it's daytime. It's hard to see on my tv when it's night out

Do you find a clump of trees to give your guy a bathroom break as well?

I usually find a nice quiet cave and rub one out while Lydia watches.
