Alright, I can't buy the house in Windhelm. It kinda pisses me off, but I've read around and I think it happens if you do the Stormcloak/Imperial quest before you buy the house. The steward keeps telling me "there's a house for sale, but it's unavailable now."
I beat the entire imperial quest chain and killed Ulfric before I bought that house. That house is pretty awesome.

I went Imperial and finished that quest line and it is telling me that I can't buy the house "right now" wtf. Do you think it has anything to do with how I posed Ulfric and his bodyguards dead bodies against the throne?

Did you do that blood on the ice quest before you bought it? I've read that has to be done first also, but no one is gathering in the graveyard and I think that is how you initiate it.

I've been buying them since day 1 and I now have so many I keep about 75% of them in a chest to never see the light of day again.
I just now am catching on to this. Plus, I was having issues with my vendors never having enough money, and not being able to by the shite I crafted, so it works out okay by me buying soul gems and just selling my gear. It's not really about me making money as much as just needing the materials to level my shite.
How do you guys have frost/fire resistances? Is that an enchant? What's the best way to learn enchants? I take every weapon I loot back, but I've hardly discovered new ones in quite some time. My enchanting is high 80s now, but I only have one perk point on it.

8. Items. I think the best items should be found not made. This keeps you hunting longer. I also think they should be set up more like Diablo. People still play Diablo II hoping to get the super rare super unique drops. Diablo II has like a zillion combinations for weapons and armor which I know would be harder to do with the better textures in Skyrim, but I think there needs to be a bit more randomness to the treasure and I think some items found in game should dwarf what we make.
I've been thinking this as well.
My most relatable RPG experience is WoW and I love that it took eons for you to get great stuff. And it continued to get better and better and better as you got better and better. As of now, I'm 46 and I have the best armor I'm ever going to have. That kinda blows.

I'm busy trying to collect money for the solitude home. Better be worth it.
Whats everyone's favorite spell to use?
I've been rocking fireball and shock.. but they don't seem to do the damage I want them to.
Got a merc follower that rocks with creating a wolf

I did it once I bought it.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to my ever faithful Dremora Lord buddy. I conjure him up in dungeons and as soon as he finds enemies he just starts to wreck shite. He's killed bosses while I look around for loot. I just now got Twin Souls so now he has a buddy. It's fantastic.

Dremora Lord is very legit. Enchanted Daedric weapon + high health equals a very handy companion.
Posted on 12/5/11 at 1:18 pm to sbr2
You talking about the guy from the sanguine rose or can you actualy conjure up a dremora lord?

If it's already been posted in the thread somewhere, forgive me, but has anyone else run into the bug in the thieves guild questline?
After completing the "Loud and Clear" quest, I returned to Brynjolf and he told me to go speak with Maven Black-Briar. After he told me this, no quest was given. When I go to Maven, she doesn't say anything about the quest and even trying to speak to Brynjolf again results in him saying something like "Not right now, I'm too busy".
So, in other words, I'm stuck until they patch the damn thing. SOOOO frustrating.

Yeah, I noticed this bug as well. I reloaded to a previous save before I turned in "Loud and Clear". Figured I would wait to turn it in until it is fixed in a patch.

You can conjure a Dremora Lord. I forgot what level your conjuration has to be first.

I think it has to be above lvl. 50 for the spell to appear in vendor inventory. I found a tome when I was adventuring, costs so much magicka.
Posted on 12/5/11 at 3:57 pm to sbr2
I found a tome not long ago and was surprised to find it because most of my magic skills are the same as when I started.
I imagine twin Drmora Lords is pretty overpowered like the rest of the game.

Finally took the patch.
Mages casting fireballs.... Hafta pay attention to em now
Pretty much cruising with my chain lightning casting follower, ormund, 2handed lifesteal, and heavy armor.
Some bosses at the end of dungeons gimme problems though. Dwarven sphere masters

Yes, my twin Dremora Lords take no shite from nobody. The only reason I don't constantly summon them is that I'm still trying to level up destruction and if I they're around them they kill everyone in sight before I get to blast them.

The patch stinks, but at the same time, it has made the game more difficult so even though it wasn't on purpose the patch has worked for me.

I still haven't seen any weird dragon actions, but I also haven't played much in the last three days.

Yeah... I dont mind having to dodge spells or try to drain their mana via endurance, kiting, poisons etc. Makes things fresh instead of just eating every attack
