I get the voidness was by design but that, combined with the terrible (terrible) controls and the performance turned me off of it. Keep in mind I played it after it's release in the next gen so I was a bit spoiled by then. I still (in my first post) called it a good game. I just had issues with it.
I'm going to play it because apparently all the problems I experienced (btw, glaring obvious problems since the devs have addressed my exact concerns) have been resolved and all the issues I've had with it have been fixed.
Is it that hard to figure out I want to play the best version of it? I mean I said that on my very first post. I even said I'll eat crow if it's so much better than I remember, again in my first post. So what if I feel it's overrated.
People (especially on discussion message boards) need to realize people have differing opinions. I can't figure out why people have to attack others for non-popular opinions across TD. Message boards are for discussion, why tear people down and resort to name calling and bad analogies.
Such thin skin around here lately, across the entire forum.

1. Are trolling and never played the game because nothing feels rushed about it or a port.
2. Went and bought the game on release day even after saying the beta sucked.

That is just a lie, like there is no way anybody that has played two entries in the series could come to that conclusion. A lot of people are butthurt it didn't release on the Switch, I'll chalk it up to that.
*On topic really hyped for this but can't find the Special Edition anywhere, wanted that steel case. Played it on the PS2 and it really felt ahead of its time. Best Team Ico game.

I’m sorry those names hurt your feelings. But you do realize you are posting...non-popular opinions....meaning most people don’t agree with you....and you are posting them on a message board....where you run the risk of people disagreeing with your non-popular opinions. There's nothing wrong with having unpopular opinions.
I have them myself, for example I think The Last Of Us is one of the most overrated games of all time. I've gotten heavily downvoted for stating as much.
However how you present your opinion is more important then the opinion itself.
For example, I can see what elements people really like in TLOU. The story, the characters, etc. However those things dont' really do much for me in video games usually.
So it's not that the game is fundamentally good or bad. It's that the best things about the game don't hold much weight for me as they do others, and the parts of the game I care most about are where I feel it's the most mediocre.
A good way of presenting that critique:
"I just don't appreciate TLOU as much as most people. I don't really play video games for the story. I found the gameplay besides the story to be fairly standard."
The trollish way:
"TLOU sucks arse, totally overrated. You just walk around and barely do anything, really stupid. Can't believe people like that crap."

I get it.
I think i was clear about why I didn't like it. I didn't sit there trolling the game. I called it a good game but overrated. I then listed why I felt that way.
Shadow is one note. It's a good and original note. I didn't diss it whatsoever. All I said was that I think it's overrated and I listed the reasons why.
I then got attacked for being an idiot, liar, hack, troll, etc. I even mentioned I wanted to try the remaster and give it another shot. I never sat here trolling.
It's dumb bc after i said all that, then I was questioned even why I wanted to get the game, bc "man bro, i dont know why you want to play it if you disliked it so much. no one can actually feel the way you do about it, you must be trolling or you are a liar "
It's sad. I gave the game credit, pointed out the things I didn't like about it, said I def want to check it out to see if the changes enhanced it, and people still shite all over me bc "omg you HAVE to like one of the best games evar made"
give me a fricking break.
then, to make themselves feel better after calling me out and pretty much acting like my opinion wasn't genuine I was told I have "thin skin" and butthurt over it because I happened to point out how juvenile all that was.
