well is your EVO stock or what? how long have you had it? How long does the average battery last? Do you keep the 4G antenna off? Do you spend a lot of time in areas that have bad reception(office biulding or in Charlie's underground tunnels)? Have you made sure Google Talk doesnt auto sign in?

DO NOT USE THE TASK KILLER! it messes up your phone in the long run.
since you have just got it expect lower battery life until your battery goes through a few cycles. these lith-ion batteries need a few cycles to charge to full cap.
No Google Talk. I its an app just for gchat. If you synced a gmail account it is most likely on. it is labled Talk. with a white text box with "Talk" in it. open it go to menu->settings-> uncheck auto sign in then sign out of it.

i run this every week or two. It deletes your battery log for the OS to write a new one encase any bad scripts were written. I wouldnt use it for a week or two until your battery has full cap.
