Once we get to high level, we will be spending 10 balls trying to catch 1 250 pidgey. Hopefully Niantic fixes that

Yeah, I spent way too many Great Balls and regular balls to get a fricking Zubat. Bitch broke free from like 3 Great Balls. Then everything I was throwing starting fricking curving.

Ppl in their 20s on reddit say that even ratatas and pidgeys kick out of razz berries and great balls lol. Takes multiple of each for 1 capture

That is my one concern about this game.
With how quickly people are leveling up and how strong the pokemon are in such a short period of time, will it become monotonous to even try playing the game in a month?
Will players be so far advanced that only a handful will be able to battle and do something other than just catch pokemon?

The game will no doubt change a ton in the coming months. I'd hold off on assuming that the state of the game currently will be the future. I assume there is going to be a CP cap just like there's a level cap in the handhelds.

I'd recommend just playing the game at the moment for collection and some light excercise.
Trying to take over multiple gyms and staying "ahead of the curve" will only result in frustration and burnout at this point
Having a solid collection of many different types will prove to be useful as the game evolves imo

would be cool if we could start a "td gym" in a future update, like a guild.
where all of our local gyms and level and battles won are tracked in a central hub for all of us.

Yeah, it definitely helps me out. I wanted to make it to Lafayette square yesterday. That gym was a level 3 red with only 1 Pokemon there. I was going to post up one of mine but it got taken over before I got off of work.
