Yep.
They were the best team in LCK late last year, was such a shame they just missed out on Worlds by points.
They led that game 4 from the get go, and went for a 3 man backdoor and all died and KT ran it down and ended. LINK
Couldn't recover mentally for game 5 after that.

I just started playing. What are some of the good and trash heroes? Somebody in the lobby told me to play Morgana. She is trash with horrible range.

It depends on what lane you want to play.
Morgana is a great support for bot lane and can be dangerous in the mid with experience.
Strong champs right now in low elo and are relatively easy to play:
Top: Darius, Garen, Kayle, Swain, Nasus
Mid: Lux, Ahri, Ziggs, Vel’koz, Swain
Bot/ADC: Jinx, Ashe, Twitch, Sivir, Vayne
Bot/Support: Morgana, Neeko, Sona, Nami, Taric
Jungle: Vi, Udyr, Nunu, Jarvan IV, Shyvana
These are just suggestions for the current low-meta. They’re easy to play with less “moving parts.” The other way to get good is pick one champ and just play the shite out of them until you know it inside and out.

What are all those terms like mid and top?
I tried to play a nice support role but she was always in range of other people's attacks. Just too close.
I like more of a dps role in games.

DPS role is ADC/Mid generally. Top and JG can as well, but it’s traditionally reserved for mid/ADC. Try ADC for a ranged damage dealers that leans on auto attacks more so than spells. It’s simpler to learn and you can layer in the abilities as you get better.

Those are just your "position" or "role" in the game. Top goes top lane, mid goes mid lane, and bot/adc goes to the bottom lane with a support. It's just the way the "meta" is.
If you're looking for range damage dealers, you'll probably look to play bot or mid. You can technically play a range top or jungle, but top is more of fighter/bruiser types and tanks. At lower elo you can probably go any lane and play whatever you want though.
I main mid, so I'll add Annie, Veigar, Malzahar and Lissandra into the mix that was stated above. Annie is a little closer range but she is very easy to play. Lissandra is one of my favorite champions and is in a solid spot right now.
If you give support another go, try a champ like Brand, Lux, Zyra, or Sona. They are ranged supports who pump out a lot of damage. Sona is a hybrid healer/dps though so the other three do more damage but offer less support. Champions like that are really sqishy though. So take care when playing them. Tons of damage, but are vulnerable.

If not for a throw against C9 they may be the clear cut favorites to win the split.
If everything goes as predicted, the C9/TSM semi final may be a championship series.
It’s kind of funny though, C9 kind of has TSMs number, TSM 2-0ed TL so they matchup well, and TL has 2-0ed C9 so they have matched up well against them too. The results of those 3 teams games in playoffs is going to be really fun to watch in best of 5s.
My personal power rankings is TSM > C9 > TL just on how the season ended, but it would not surprise me at all for C9 to beat TSM in semis and TL beat C9 in the finals.

Negative. Even DL posted that they were in a slump and trying to get out of it. Theres no doubt in my mind that DL and Liquid wanted to beat TSM after losing to them the first time around.

Is there a good guide to go look up? I feel very newbish when someone actually knows what they are doing. When playing with other newbs I feel fine.

I'm sure they wanted to win, but they have to know they have a better chance winning with Impact on a tank rather than Vlad. Other than that, their team comp was 'optimal' for the person playing it.
