Another guy in the league community that I really don't know much about - other than I can barely listen to anything he says.

KTR 2-1 over SKT. SKT had a 5K+ gold lead entire game in full control and for some reason at 33 minutes took a 50/50 baron and lost it, then fought a minute later and 4 died and KTR ended.

It was a big yikes. SKT falls to 4-7 and unless a miracle happens won't make the playoffs ending their season.

So, who here still plays this game? I logged in for the first time in a month, and it just seems dead. I still watch the pros from time to time but don't have the desire to play like I used to.

Hell, this thread would be dead if Ultimate Hog didn't find someone to argue with every few weeks.

I've played some arams and some urf when it was available. Other than that it's been a couple months.

Riot kept changing the game in major ways too frequently. By the time you versed yourself in the new playstyle, boom, more changes.

That and 9 out of every 10 games was a stomp one way or the other. Consistently playing as a silver player with multiple plats and diamonds on teams.

The game just isn't fun anymore.

Moved on to overwatch.

I recently started playing again now that they're basically on the Worlds patch with just small changes here and there until Worlds.

Game is really well balanced and fun right now for the first time in awhile.

I'll always watch Pro play though it's simply the best esport by a mile.

Maybe on paper.

Any normal or competitive game on SR seems like an arse fricking on one side or the other. Not any fun to get raped and it's not any fun when you're steam rolling the other team either. The matchmaking is rarely ever even close to being balanced.

I never thought I'd stop enjoying league, but it just isn't any fun anymore.

Nah it's in a great spot, always is on Worlds patch. Nothing is stupid OP champion or role wise.

I prefer the snowball effect myself, average League game time is 27 minutes now. I can play 2 games in an hour versus a year ago games going 45 minutes+ each time.

Well that's great. Still doesn't remedy the stomp or be stomped theme of games that occurs a majority of the time.

I couldn't give a shite about a world's patch, champion win rates, or how it affects the pro scene. If the majority of games are lopsided, it's no fun.

Like I said, I prefer the snowball effect. 27 minute average game time is great, can get in 2 games in an hour now versus previous 40 minutes to an hour for a single game.

I care more about balance than anything though so to each their own!

Never played OverWatch and never will so can't speak to that.

Fair enough, but I'd rather play 1 long competitive close game than 2 quick face rolls.

With queue time, ban phase, champ select, loading screen, then actual game time....it's too much time for me to invest just to know we're going to "ff" 10 minutes into the game.

Overwatch is an FPS/MOBA of sorts. Matches can be quick, so if it's lopsided it isn't bad. But the close games can last a while, so it's satisfying. Just a nice change of pace since LoL has gotten stale.

Yeah, to each their own. I don't like the long games in League, gets boring. That old meta of 45-60 minute games every time was aids, scale scale scale one big teamfight at 50 minutes to win! That's just bad League of Legends.

Give me the quick games so I can climb faster and get in and out of games faster.

One hour long game for 20 LP still isn't worth it to me, I don't want long games of League too much time and investment as you said, so this meta is perfect.

Yeah I have heard of OverWatch, I just don't like those types of games so no interest in a shooter version of League/Smite.

I haven’t understood why they’re trying to curb snowballing so much. If you play well and stomp your lane, you should get a competitive advantage because you earned it. It’s pretty easy to not let a lane snowball by just not being an idiot.

I mean how long have you played this game?

Unless you're high elo, 7-8 of the people in your game will likely have down syndrome.

Winning games in league comes down to one thing: Having teammates that are less retarded than the team you are playing against.

I still play. I got burnt out with ranked so I don’t really play a whole lot outside of premades. Once WoW expansion comes out I’ll play a bit less. I play a few ranked game a month to avoid decay pretty much.

In regards to the state of the game, I’m kind of indifferent. I like and dislike some aspects so it’s kind of a wash.

The only thing I really dislike is Bo1s in pro play. I have always liked series and with this snowbally meta I think we could see some back and forth games force some game 3s.

I agree. I hate that they moved away from from the Bo3 format.

100T avoids the early game blunders and beats EF.

2 of the 3 analysts picked C9 over TL this game..

There is the knockout blow to TSM, losing hard to the last place team.

Bjerg with no kills mid lane and was down over 40 CS at 19 minutes.
