You can say dumpstering, but imagine the rosters that are going to come out of the current free agents. Arrow, MikeYeung, Pobelter, Olleh, Xmithie, Flame, Ryu, etc.
Kicking IMT doesn't surprise me even if they hadn't invested into OW so heavily. They didn't even exist for the first 5 years pro league was going on and are one split away from nearly being relegated. Backing OW was the final nail.
Anyone remember who the investors for IMT were?

The group is headed by a team of investors which includes Anschutz Entertainment Group, Peter Levin, the president of Lionsgate Interactive Venture and Games, who co-founded Nerdist; Allen Debevoise, a chairman at Machinima.com; Steve Kaplan, a co-owner of the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies; Honest Co. CEO Brian Lee, entertainment industry venture capitalists Machine Shop Ventures, and others.[17]

OWL will fail. That was just a very dumb call from IMT. I don't know anyone excited for that league, and even OW fans admit it's a terrible spectator sport.
G2 really might be accepted, not many teams left.

Fnatic has already been declined right? Honestly there have been so many names tossed around by now I've lost track.
ETA: So right now we have C9, TSM, CLG, TL, EF, Optic, and the TBD warriors team?

G2 was the only EU team to make it to the final phase yeah. And we still haven't heard anything on them with very few teams left. It may actually happen.
EU fans will lose their shite.

Optic and C9 both have overwatch teams, and other league teams field teams for games other than lol.

IMT invested over 20m into their OWL team, more than their League team. They want to dominate the LA OWL market.
Probably didn't sit well with Rito, they weren't going to allow a team in that put OWL above LCS.
Also, C9's OWL team is based in London.

We still have FQ in limbo. If FQ makes it in over IMT then I will be shocked.
We have at least two other new teams coming in. Plus whatever happens with FQ.

I would be blown away if FQ gets in.

It's just petty by riot. Makes them look like a bunch of lil bitches imo.

True.
The tyler1 saga is further proof of this.

So we have at least two spots with new teams. What established orgs could get in? EG has the money, but the selling sponsorships ikr needs to change. The list of NA orgs gets really thin after that. Digital Chaos and Complexity are around, but they don't measure up well against IMT.
Froma global perspective, there a number of EU/CIS teams that could try. If EU LCS expands though, I'm not sure Riot would want the talent pool to thin out. The shocker would be if they let G2 transfer. The EU tears would be amazing.

SK Gaming or NRG might try to get back in.

If they let fricking NRG in...........
I assume SK would be excluded in order to keep them in for EULCS.

This particular game was a solo.

You're just hurting your map pressure if you duo as bot lane.
If the losses were just because we took a bad teamfight, or made a dumb mistake, I'd agree with you, but the role I play is irrelevant when teammates not in my duo are dying an insane amount of times early and allowing their laners to now strong arm my lane. Even then, the leads aren't always insurmountable, but typically if people are bad enough to die 4-5 times in lane, they aren't going to show the patience to slow play.
Last night, I stayed top to push my lane and my lead, enemy team would send a couple people to deal with me. Okay no problem, we now have a numbers advantage elsewhere...but, not surprising, my team is farming jungle, backing, or dying with a numbers advantage...pretty much doing anything but utilizing the advantage I have created in my lane.
Conversely, the previous game before that, my team would win teamfights, get an objective, then back..lather rinse repeat.. no one fed, no one tried to constantly 1v5, and no one did anything stupid.
The game wasn't a blow out, and my team (including myself) weren't doing anything mechanically godlike...we just played smart, didn't die and played towards our strengths. That's all I'm asking. If we lose after that, then I can accept that.
I don't need to be carried, I don't need even need to be 10-0 in my own lane... I just need my teammates to not put everyone in a hole 8-10 minutes into the game, then proceed to dig that hole deeper by doubling down on their stupidity.

G2, FLY, and FaZe are the mostly likely imo.
Taking FaZe alongside OpTic makes sense.
