Leona and Thresh are fun to play and are extremely helpful in team fights and in early lane play.
Nami is also good IMO. She's not a tank like the other two I mentioned, but she contributes well in teamfights with pretty much all of her abilities. Her bubble can swing your lane quickly if you can land them consistently.
Other than that, the only other supports I really ever played were Blitz, Soraka and Janna.
Blitz gets banned 99% of the time. Soraka can be ok (gives your adc a lot of sustain) and Janna has some useful abilities as well.
ETA: I'd recommend Annie. Cheap, potent AP Mid and some people like to use her as a support as well.

We didn't know he was Diamond. Matter of fact, I think it was just a random name someone invited. Either way, it was crazy in teamspeak during that game. I raged at my "ADC" heimer the entire time

Yeah, I just started randomly playing with those guys a couple weeks ago. They try, but have comical fun at the same time. That heimer was being retarded.
I can't tell you the last time I went support and got a decent adc.

Which one was that? I've found that the games I'm in are usually my team being vastly superior, or we get massively face raped.
I love my support role, but I may have to start playing ADC some more. I would venture to say that I've only gotten a decent, goods sportsman ADC 2-3 times in my last 15 games.

So are we creating a new team or are we just adding to GOTM?
If we're creating a new team, I wouldn't mind throwing it together in the preseason and playing a few to get a gauge on where we stand division-wise.

I'll be on the team if you guys need extras.
I main support. I've played a decent bit of ADC in the past. I can't mid or jungle (as I've never really played these much).
I'm very slightly above average on my best day, so don't expect me to carry many games if you guys need me as a sub or backup
ETA: I have around 40 champions. Mostly bot lane ADC's and Supports, but I do have some popular top laners, junglers and a couple mid lane characters should the need to trade during draft arise.

Well good news is that Annie has been being played as a support a lot lately. So now you technically know 2 roles with one character
ETA: Annie a good champ though. Cheap and easy to play. Good poke, high burst, stun...solid choice.

Yea I like her a lot. She fits my playing style very well.
