Official I'm a noob to skyrim thread

I've pretty much given up mw3 today an plan on starting on skyrim tonight. Ive never played an elder scrolls game before and the only rpg like skyrim I've played is dragon age 2. Tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly have never played an Elders Scroll game very far before, but this game makes it very easy to just go out and kill crap, I'm not kidding. I say just go and play and after awhile of playing you'll get the hand of it and then maybe come around and start looking at other people's post.. it's a HUGE game.

Find a troll and make him your friend. He will have a pet Wolly Mammoth with him. He will protect you. You have to get pretty close though for the cut scene to happen.

Do your best to make it thru the beginning. Kinda boring.
Talk to everyone, almost every npc has something to do
Use stables/horse carriage to travel from city to city if you dont wanna walk.
There is nothing set in stone, you can do anything at any time. What may have been a lvl 4 quest to me could be a lvl 30 quest for you
There's a main questline that can either be completed ignored, or the entire focal point, or some mix in between.
Pay attention to health bars in combat... Determine early if you should stay and fight, or run away
It is similar to dragon age 2, but honestly, skyrim makes dragon age 2 look like legend of Zelda on nes.

JAE it pretty easy to get into. Half the fun of the game is going out and exploring. You can fast travel to places you have already been by using ur map. Don't rush the main quest. You will be tempted to tho. Basically you can play the game however you want and still be successful. I would hold off on upgrading non combat perks til level 10

The beauty of the game is that there is nothing you HAVE to do, just play, explore, kill, talk to people, you will find that a certain path appeals to you and follow it.
