Link? You had to expect him to be at least a little weird to pull of a psychopath that well.

I have played GTA 5 for about 40 minutes now and am bored out of my mind. Being forced to drive around forever to complete the first mission was terrible. I have not played a GTA game since the first one. I did not remember having to drive this much, plus I was much younger then. I drive my own personal vehicle all the time in real life. Driving a vehicle around a city in a video game is not even remotely fun. Is this really something people enjoy? Does the game improve markedly or should I go ahead an quit playing?

wtf? we have the robbery prologue, franklin's race, and a few repos. there's no mission that you drive "forever"
it gets better and better. keep playing

I am talking about the mission where you start off as Franklin and have to repossess that vehicle. That was incredibly boring. I felt like I kept driving and driving and driving, just waiting for this mission to end, then I had to run from the cops, which I did not want to do. Not trying to troll. I honestly want to know if I should continue playing. To be clear, driving around in a city in a video game is simply not something I find enjoyable. If that is a big chunk of this game, then please let me know so I can not waste my time.

Damn...once I quit the race Lew I tried to do an invite only session and invite you two guys. It wouldn't allow me to do it.
Now I can't find you. Add me, my ID is jbar19133

Good Lord, I just wanted an honest answer of whether the first 40 minutes was indicative of the rest of the game. I did not realize this game developed such a cult of ardent defenders. I will gladly return the game tomorrow.

What did you expect? The game is called Grand Theft Auto.

Look man, the game is called grand theft auto, so it implies that driving will be a core mechanic from which the game expands. Yes, you have to drive to missions.

shite man call a taxi and skip to it. Did you complain about riding a horse in a majestic landscape in RDR?
