Be sure to use your phone to deposit any cash on you so you don't lose it when you die.

yes indeed, been making a habit of that.

If RockStar really wanted us to torture that dude, having him login to GTA Online should have been one of the options on the table.

What I did for about 10 hours tonight before I finally got in. The thing that it is frustrating about it is after that first race I got off for a little while and got back online with zero issues.

Hey y'all!
I never come on this board - not a gamer - but I have a question for y'all.
My 15 year old son is DYING to buy GTA V. A bunch of his friends have it. He's a good kid - makes good grades, doesn't get in trouble, plays football, yadda yadda yadda.
Should I let him get it or is it too mature for a 15 year old?
I don't want to be "that lady" but I've heard that there is a lot of drug stuff and sexual stuff in the game and it just concerns me.
Everyone posting in here seems to be well adjusted normal folks
, so your opinions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

a 15 year old with internet access is probably not going to experience anything in GTA V that he hasn't already seen online.
I'm not a parent, so take this for what it's worth

I would not let my son play at 15. I have a 9 month old so that may change down the road. No need to shove all of this in their face.

Just fyi there is a PSN update now.

It depends how sheltered your kid has been up to this point. If he's had any exposure to any of it before (language, sexual nature of things) it won't be a bad thing for him. If he hasn't, this is not a good way to start.
Anyways, I figured I would try to get online again before work while there was less server traffic, but still no luck. And my hopes aren't up for trying today after work when the load goes back up to 20+ million...

I started playing this series at 16. It's more graphic than it used to be though. You have to know your kid. I wasn't effected by that type of thing. It might be a good option to not buy it for him, but don't stop him from playing someone else's copy if you know what I mean.

I thought there would be more of that actually. I also thought there would be the option to crew up, so you could run together. but it seemed every time I stole a car I was bringing the heat twords y'all and adding to the cops y'all already had on yalls arse. chaos.

Strip Clubs with top nudity and lap dances, you can pick up hookers and pay them for "services", Drug use/reference (to include smoking joints and bongs), drinking alcohol, blood/gore, extremely vulgar language.
If you are ok with your son seeing that stuff at 15, then go for it.

I'm only 20, so it wasn't that long ago that I was 15. I can tell you that unless your kid is highly sheltered (home schooled with only a few friends and parental guidance on most things like internet, games, etc) they are fully aware of all of those things and have plenty of exposure and knowledge about it. You're only going to piss your kid off by not getting them the game. Just my somewhat-relatable experienced 2 cents.
I heard they patched PS3 and online is fully functional there?

so whats online like? Somebody explain what they saw last night!

I would be more concerned with the driving for a kid that is just learning how to drive.
By his age he knows about drugs and sex.
