I'm working on getting all my inventory legendary.
All my stuff is fully upgraded.
Have a 2shot assault rifle
A penetrating .50 cal sniper rifle
An explosive combat shotgun
And a combat rifle. Needs to be legendary.
All but 2 pieces of my armor are legendary. Playing on very hard now

Seems I'm going to have to enter into Phase II of settlement protection.
Now that I am level 72, the bad guys are really bringing the lumber when they attack settlements.
Got hit last night with 2 Legendary bad guys and 2 power armor raiders along with their henchmen.
Going to have to work on my electrical grids to get some laser coverage along with the standard turrets.

Looks like that clears some of the shading. I don't mind that. What I hate is how the viewable area shrinks when indoors using the power lamp.

I skipped a dialogue session too fast and I sent Piper somewhere. Took forever to find her with just 4 settlements. I can't imagine doing that now.
Just stumbled into a five way fight and had to hide from all the crossfire hahaha. At level 38, I thought I was pretty strong so i ventured into a small town in the southish west side of the map... Vertibird + Two armored Knights vs 2 legendary alpha deathclaws vs a gang load of super mutants vs a group of super strong raiders vs me hiding in the police station taking pot shots Definitely need to get stronger.

That explains a lot. Didn't know the attacks scale with level. Ran into a couple legendary gunners attacking my lighthouse settlement. It's almost better to have the settlements with not many resources. I think having a recruitment beacon up also triggers attacks.

The settlement attacks are almost more fun than the regular missions.
Turrets blazing everywhere. Attacks from multiple locations. Missiles flying everywhere.
I did see a regular low level raider attack on a settlement. It was over before I could unholster my pistol.
Lighthouse got hit by Super Mutant Warlords. Mistake for them. That location is wall to wall turrets and pretty much all of the settlers have great weapons.
DO NOT RUSH TO GET MACREADY PERK.
95% headshot is way too overpowered. They need to nerf that.

Holy shite.
Fast traveled to Hyde park to clear out some raiders.
There was a vertibird there with some BOS guys. Fighting gunners. The raiders are taking pot shots. There's some super mutants fighting off ghouls right next to them, plus a behemoth.
Then the gunner gets into the vertibird and is flying it around.

It's just bugged apparently. It's supposed to give a 20% buff to headshots and instead gives 2000%, you can't miss with it and can nail folks from forever away with vats.
Reading about it made me somewhat happy MacReady disappeared when I sent him somewhere early on. Though I'll probably try and console him back eventually once they fix the bug just so I can do his quest.

Just too awesome to jump into the fray with my overpowered laser pistol which does extra damage and shoot 6 guys in the head before they even toss their cigarette out their exploding head.
Which is why I said don't rush it. It makes the game too easy and it is too hard to avoid using it.
Some of the Southern bad guys are strong enough to withstand several shots but most immediately explode.
How the heck can you get Cait to be 100% happy. Did her damn quest. She keeps getting pissy when I help anyone.

Is there any negative effect for joining BoS or Railroad and doing some missions for them? I don't want it to affect the outcome of the game, I want to just stay as neutral as possible.
