Did you take the fort yet? Maybe you need to do the first quest to take the fort in order to get the armor.

Thanks for all the Help, I haven't done the Nick Valentine quests yet. I'll do some of those then hopefully it will move along and I can talk to Paladin Danse again. I did finish the lost patrol, went in the bunker and talked to Paladin Brinse. Dude had 4 Fusion cores in an Ammo box! Score!.

frick the T60..just go to the abandoned shack at the southwest corner of the map and loot the dead body. Thank me later

There is an entire "Atom Cats" T60 set with helmet (two of them technically bc a raider has one) at the Atom Cats Garage you can get early.

Last night I hit lvl 27, got my next perk in gunslinger and made sure my power armor is like I need it.
Tonight, I head into the glowing sea to progress the story, T60 BOS armor, 25 fusion cores in hand. I guess I'll bring a minigun I have in storage just in case.

Found a set when finishing up the Lost Patrol quest. Put it on, fast traveled to Red Rocket, parked it, and said "stay".

I really only used it in the Glowing Sea for the super rad protection.
I had it on last night because I wanted to wander a bit and pick everything up so I wanted the extra carrying capacity.

THere's also a T60 on top of the court in Financial district. Just have to defeat an assaultron and sentry bot to get it.

When you clear the satellite array with the super mutants. It's at the top of one of the satellites.
