I had the same problem, apparently I sent him to Sanctuary. He was in the backyard of one of the houses with a dog house in the back.

If you know which settlement he might be in, you can add a settlement bell and ring it. Everyone in the settlement will come to the bell.

Ah, May need to look there. I thought I sent him to Red Rocket but he was nowhere to be found. They may default to Sanctuary. I did something when I switched companions and it asked me to select which settlement to send him to. I must have hit tab or something, but never selected a settlement just closed the box by accident.
They really need markers for them on the map or pip boy.

I leave dog meat at red rocket because he is easier to find, sent everyone else to sactuary because that is where I craft and do all my "business". Makes it easy to remember where everyone is. Still get scared every now and then when Danse comes out the woods in power armor lol

I'm gonna try to get the t-60 first then maybe venture down that way. Lvl 20 right now. Need to mod some weapons first. Just got the third level for non auto rifle damage. Messing people up with that combat rifle

I just got the 4th for gunslinger. Doing over 100 base damage on some pistols and 75-90 on others. Beautiful thing when you're sneaking with a few points in ninja.

That's awesome dude, I like my Muzzled 10MM pistol with Glow Sight. Works great for head shots. I put Glow sight no my rifle too. Love it.

I have a silenced, hardened advanced receiver, reflex sighted, 10mm pistol that I do 75 damage with, plus is is legendary and has explosive rounds doing another 15 damage AOE for 90 total damage, and I can get like 12 rounds off in VATS. With a sneak attack x3 that is 270 damage per bullet in VATS. I kill super mutants with 1-2 shots.
I have taken down whole rooms of mutants in sneak attack with one VATS instance. Love it.

I did. And I joined the railroad too. I think at one point you have to side with the railroad, the institute or the brotherhood. So join them all and do quests until they make you choose at some point.
I think I might side with the BOS when it all plays out, but unsure.

I took mods off every 10mm I found that were better than the base mods and slowly upgraded this gun as I went. Found it at like level 9-10. Now level 27 and didn't get all the mods done until level 22 or so. It has been my go-to weapon since I got it. I have the top tier mod in every slot, made none of the mods, just got lucky picking up other 10mm pistols and robbing the mods off them.

I don't think so. At any point, you can turn your gun on them and they won't think too highly of THAT.
