I can’t be the only one here who though blackout was nothing special, right? It was fun but I don’t see what the lasting appeal in it is

i guess what we'll find out tonight/tomorrow. i'm sure we only saw a small portion of what it's supposed to be. i expect to see them add/remove weapons, additional characters, vehicles, etc. i'll definitely be playing it.

That's how I feel about PUBG on console. I don't get nearly the amount to time to game as I used too but I do enjoy the Battle Royale format and playing a squad with my friends. The Blackout Beta was nice for me, in that, it was optimized, smooth and the gun play was exponentially better than PUBG. I'm excited for it. First COD game I'm purchasing day one since Black Ops 2.

Oh it was much better than PUBG on console for sure. It was better optimized than PUBG pc. My issue with it was that there wasn’t any real uniqueness to it imo. It feels like a polished first person H1Z1

That's mainly a dig at sweat.
I think they said they introduce bullet drop at a certain range. The rest is typical COD hit detection.

what makes PUBG gun play so great for you sweat? not a dig, just interested. i know you were in the military right? i know the weapons in PUBG are real world type weapons. i wouldn't expect that aspect in Blackout. the calibers of the weapons are real (9mm, .45acp, .556, 7.62, .338, and .50 cal), but the weapons you use are definitely not real world.

Bullet drop has never been an issue for me. Been playing multiple shooters for the last 15 years from COD to Battlefield and everything in between. I've always been pretty damn good at any shooter I play. I constantly experience situations where I am emptying entire clips into people and nothing happens. I take into account distance, weapon type, etc. and PUBG is too inconsistent for me. It's not enjoyable on console. I enjoy everything else about the game minus that one problem but it's a big problem IMO.

After playing blackout PUBG was just too slow paced for me. Even Sanhook is slow and dull in comparison.
The different skillpacks , rc cars/grappling hook give it a new and exciting element. Map movement and spacing is awesome.
I LOVE pubg guns/gunplay, just wish the company invested more time in listening to its fanbase and actually gave a shite. Seems like they took everyones money and took a backseat approach to the game. The stat and leveling system is whack. I hope blackout comes out with something like blackops2 had.
Blackout is 3x the cost, but it comes with 3x the resources as well. They pumped out updates numerous times during the beta and really addressed issues quickly. They've already released info on how they plan on addressing the armor issue.

Slight topic change, I just hope people don't expect COD to all of a sudden not have the same lag and desync issues that have plagued that franchise for years. If it was that easy to fix, it would have been done a long time ago.

Felt recoil, different bullet velocities, bullet drop, gun sounds, on real world weapons like you said.
You can't have the same lead on a running target at 100m with different weapons, every single one has a different amount of bullet drop and bullet velocity that you must compensate for.

I've heard that from friends that play it. Sadly, I don't have enough dedicated time to play games in general to warrant a gaming PC purchase. I would like to to try it out though just to see the difference.
