there is a defense in the 3-3-5 tite nickel that is super overpowered. Gives you a free rushers literally every play. You can take one of the rushers out of the equation and play middle of the field and shade your DB's outside in man coverage and it's EXTREMELY hard to beat.

I use LSU. Not looking to dominate everyone but also don’t want to play 18 games or however long the season is just to get demoted.

I may be wrong, but I think each time you advance levels, the threshold to not get demoted becomes more aggressive. So you will eventually have to start getting sweaty or face demotion. Which isn't really a big deal if you still have fun. There are no awards for this mode anyway.

yes but I think it rushes 6 not 5. It's unstoppable if you play it correctly.
eta: it should rush your mike, will and a nickel and 3 lineman.
I take my will or mike and drop them back into user coverage most of the time.

You should join our dynasty, Poncho. We have several talented teams available. I will be making the conference/schedule for season 2 on Friday. Most of the dynasty is from this site too, which is cool.

About the blitz, edge blitz 1s only have 1 LB blitzing stock...but they can change the LB in coverage to blitz. Makes it a zero blitz, so u would have to treat it like double mug. Add blockers or have quick man beaters available.
The other edge blitzes sometimes have more than 1 LB blitzing. Most are man blitzed but there are some zone edge blitzes

Yes essentially if they don't add blockers or adjust protection it's an auto sack or incompletion.
That also takes away your ability to hit your hot if you only have three routes available to choose from .

To be fair, if they send 6 vs 5, they should get in quick. That is part of the cat and mouse game. Disguising coverages, making coverage look like a blitz, etc. Part of what makes it fun and frustrating at the same time.

I started a new dynasty a few weeks ago as an OC with ULM, 2 years in and I got my own coaching prestige to a B. My HC left after the season and I got auto-renewed and my prestige dropped all the down to a D+ (meanwhile the new HC is C). Now all my coaching prestige deal breaker players are all the way in red to transfer.

Coaching carousel...or lack thereof...is a big complaint of mine.
Instead of just 4 random offers each time you should be able to see all openings at HC, OC and DC in week 1. From there you check the box on which schools/positions you are interested in. Then week 2 is when the offers come.
No more getting offered the DC position at some shite school when you are an offensive HC at a power school.

Also, what is the point of the 3rd week of the carousel? I've never seen an offer come through that week. But when I toggle to the open jobs there are always tons I'd be interested in and/or definitely qualified for.

I think you can see all the openings. I’ve seen ones I’m offered but there was another menu that showed all openings for that week.
I’m year 4 with New Mexico and my team has been rolling people until the last three weeks where I beat UNLV on a fg, beat NC state by 28 and then Texas tech by 3. I’m running into an issue of my oline just refusing to block now in the playoffs.

Yes, you can see all the openings. But the only action you can take is to accept one of the 4 random jobs you are offered. You can't lobby your alma mater to hire you or express interest in any of the 50 other openings.

Coaching Carousel in NCAA14 was much more robust. One of the frustrating things I've experienced is that I was an OC for 4-5 years with GA Southern and had incredible stats and points scored and got them a championship in the 5th year. The HC took a high caliber job and they didn't offer the job to me when he left.

I have a theory. Each team has 3 HCs. None of them are actually separately an HC, OC or DC. So when job openings come up and you’re an offensive HC, a smaller school offering you the DC position is essentially the game offering you the HC job. Because outside of the DC label, the game recognizes that position as an HC opening.
It’s why if you’re the “OC” at Georgia Southern and the HC leaves for another job, you’re not offered the HC position because the game is already recognizing you as 1 of the 3 “head coaches” each team has

Would be nice if they improved the custom schedule option for dynasties. Nearly impossible to really customize all you OOC games
