Playing on AA, so far it's been very realistic. I have LSU at 8-2 in my first season. I had to adjust a few sliders though.

I lost to A&M and Bama, both close games.

Bama was like 94 across the board but had 4 losses.

I noticed that the CPU never throws interceptions. I think I have 4 for the entire year, two were at the end of a game. I don't know what to do about this. Meanwhile if I make a slight mistake on a throw it gets picked.

You can formation sub but only during gameplay. Hit y or triangle when selecting the formation. It’s annoying as shite you can’t do it pregame or in pause menu.

This. I’ve started using sub packages more and more to rotate through my DL and keep them fresh. It’s also a good way to swap backs, maybe bring in a running qb for a package of plays, or move the receivers around to different spots. It can take some time if you don’t know what the sub packages are for each formation.

Its such a pain in the arse that you cant set your audibles and swap players in different packages at the dynasty mode menu. Having to do redo it in game every time is frickin terrible

I’ve started putting my tight end in the slot because I have one that is a 91 speed and freak athlete while my other is an impact player blocks like a lineman. So tight end goes to slot my other comes on and I pound the rock. If the D comes up I hit route my tight end in slot to streak and hit him over the top of one of my outside guys.

I also run a lot out of gun duce and I’ll bring my tight end over giving me 5 guys to block whatever is in the box on that side. Then just take the ball and wait until second level before hitting speed.

After I win this title which will be 4 I’ll probably start a new dynasty with Minnesota or Indiana in the big 10 and see how long it takes to dominate recruiting.

With my WVU team, asu played me to 24-21 and Colorado scored 35 on me in a half before I just deflated them with my run game

What D are you primarily playing?

I’m on AA with no slider changes and I get like 2 or 3 picks in a game sometimes more.

I primarily run 3-3-5 and I’m either saw blitz with man, inside blitz sending all 3 line backers or I play cover 3 match. If I’m blitzing I’m usually on my ends, if I’m in cover 3 I play on the middle line backer that should rush, sometimes I bring him delayed most of the time I drop back into the middle if they are hitting those curls, if they throw to the back a lot I’m chasing the back with my guy. If they start to hit deeper middle ins I float to that.

I find the zone D can be suffocating especially if your dline gets pressure. Which I usually pinch and slant my guys to cause problems.

The game is really situational. If they have two tight ends or more I’m bringing a blitz, if they are in 1 back 1 tight 3 wr I’m in zone and I can usually get my middle line backer into the running hole if need be.

I’ve also started using shading and I adjust my flat coverage to 0. Hooks and curls I leave default until the cpu starts to hit me at 5,10, 15 and then I’ll set those.

If they go 5 wide I’ll bring my dime in or I’m bringing 6 and forcing a quick throw.

In my zones I walk my DBs into press coverage and it usually makes them throw quicker, sometimes it works and others you get burned

I haven’t tried it, is it down on the joy stick?

I primarily use my jukes or a spin move.

I certainly understand.

For my personal preferences, I like changing things on the fly and not having certain players locked into a spot in a formation. I like having my starters in every formation/set, and then as the game progresses being quickly able to make a change for a few plays and then quickly revert back to the starting set up is very appealing to me. It's a reason why I don't really like the RDE, RDT, and slot receiver designations in the depth chart. If I end up playing a team that is running 4 wide every play, then it's possible certain players that I want playing significant time won't ever see the field. So I keep my starting DEs as also the starting RDEs so that they can be on the field, and then I can easily switch to faster rush ends using the packages when I feel like I need it.

I’ve had success with the 3-3-5 and blitzing out of it. Got a couple picks last night, one a pick 6.

There's 2 different versions of it but both are executed by pulling down on the right stick (not sure the Xbox equivalent). They seem to be pretty dificult to use on the AI though. I've had the most success running down the sideline with a S or LB in pursuit. Hit them with the deadleg and then cut inside.

Again, I have not found it effective vs AI but that could be because I suck/am not using it right.

I would just search it on youtube. it's hard to explain over a message board, but you use to to mess with defender's angles and allow blockers to get in position

My defense has a good bit of pick 6s.

So does my offense though lol

If an out route gets picked it’s getting housed

The AI doesn’t fall for moves nearly as much. Also for whatever reason it seems the cpu backs and wrs break way more tackles than mine do.

This is the first day I’ve worked in the office since the game came out lol it’s a rough day

Here’s a Reddit video that shows exactly why this game, along with Madden, is scripted.

I figured out today on accident, that if you are on the playcall screen, and the play clock is running low, if you click the left stick to go to super sim, then B to go back to the game, you’ll get a fresh play clock

He has 99 speed, 99 acceleration, and 98 agility

I'm in year 5 or so of a dynasty where I started at Ga Southern and built a dominant offense over time leading to a natty in year 4. Got offered, and accepted, the Bama HC job. In game 4 I'm playing Oklahoma State and they had a WR with similar stats. I dominated their line and they couldn't run the ball on me. But maybe 3-4 times my coverage lapsed or I simply wasn't paying attention and that mother fricker blew past my entire defense for TDs. Ended up winning the game but it was closer than it should have been.
