I will say I hate the whole crafting gathering item system. It's all clunky and I don't know what I do need and what I can sell. I guess in this game you can only upgrade potions instead of crafting.

I think you find out the "masters" and with the ingredients you have they can craft them. I did find one station where I could refill my potions if I had the mats.

I wouldn't sell anything yet, there are a lot of side quests where you need to gather items to complete.

I agree with the clunky complaints. I've got all these schematics and no idea what the hell they are for. Anyone know where to find a wood stock for the sword improvement thing? I've got iron out the arse but can't find one of those.

Good to know I wasn't the only one struggling with this.

I was able to craft an apprentice coat that heals 1.5% per second. Same rating as the battlemage armor.

On a scale of Dragon Age 2 to Dragon Age: Origins, how is everyone enjoying the game so far?

I really don't know yet, but after my little bit of playthrough, I think I'll like it a lot. It's not even in the discussion with DA:2, though. I mean, this is a whole lot better.

It is a very fun game. I'm trying to do as much as possible in each area before moving so I'm taking it slow.

The war table is a pretty interesting addition to the game. I'm curious to see how character interactions change as I play.

So, what class did everyone pick for their first play through? I usually go with Mage, but this time I decided to go with the rogue.

I'm liking stealth and poison.

I never played any of the other ones for some reason, but generally love the genre.

I'm maybe 5 hours in and I'm enjoying it. There is no shortage of things to do and the side quests don't feel repetitive or mundane (yet). I like the fighting system, but I agree with others that the tactical camera needs to pan out much more vertically to be viable. That's really the only complaint I have so far. Of course, 6 hours into a 50+ hour game isn't much to judge it on.

Elven Mage.

I let Cassandra get dirty first then I clean up the mess. Will let varric and Solas handle any stragglers who dare resist Cassandras taunts

Realized that I really like the rogue.

One thing I don't like is that I can't be both a dual wielding, stabby badass and an archer.

I wish they would've left the ability to have two weapon sets so I could switch between the two.
