On a harbor tug. We dock and undock ships. My family has a few NOBRA ship pilots, so that's what I'm working towards.

I try not to think about it, though. I know I'm extremely fortunate and the career path that has been forged out for me is something most people don't get the opportunity to have, so I just think of things as one week at a time. People on the river tend to be very nosy and want to bring it up all the time, so I always just tell them that that's the plan, but I'm just a deckhand on a tug right now and I'm going week to week.
Pilots' sons get a very bad reputation because most of them just take things for granted and expect everything to come to them. I refuse to look at it that way.

I'm glad you look at it that way. I know two pilots and they both fit into that stereotype you just discussed.

Not very much in my actual job, but in my off week I'm always riding ships with my dad to get my trips in and that's when I'm around them. You aren't lying about some of them being morons. There's some good ones, but there are far more idiots.
About two months ago, one of them almost pulled me in to the river when I was climbing down a pilot ladder getting off below Algiers point in New Orleans. It was a deckhand being trained and just as I went to step on to the pilot boat, he started pulling off of the ship. I had to jump a few feet on to the pilot boat and have the other guy grab me. Typically it's best to just stay on the ladder if that happens, but I already had one arm and leg off of the ladder and I didn't think I'd be able to hold up my weight with my momentum carrying me away from the ship.
DC almost didn't become part of the clan. I didn't freak out at the moment, but once we got back to shore and I realized what nearly happened, I was a little freaked out.

Did VOG on hard in just over an hour. Still not Mythoclast drop and even worse, all Exotics that you get in the VOG are pre-DLC damage (300) which is absolute horse shite.

after failing at Crota yesterday, i watched youtube on how to get it done. we should have grouped down at the bottom instead of on the side stairs. that way we dont have to move when crota comes to our side. the sword guy has a much easier path to Crota that way too.
