Anybody gonna be on during the day tomorrow? Really want to try the vault again at some point this week.
Also...what do I get for breaking down an exotic? Thinking about it with an exotic armor i bought from Xur which i regret since I have a helmet that greatly outweighs it.

Believe it is the nexus and it is Void.
I have 300 atk weapons for every nightfall at this point though, so I am good.

It's cool, I'll be on tonight ready for the new nightfall. Loop and Bayou ran through it with me last night. I also got Suros as a reward even though I just spent my coins on it with Xur

I think it varies and is based on how much (or little) you've upgraded the weapon. I got 6 energy's out of a less than 50% leveled up Hex Caster Auto Rifle. I got another one from an engram that had way better perks so I broke the old one down. The Hex Caster is virtually the same as Atheon's Epilogue without Void damage. I've also gotten 6 shards out of non-upgraded Exotic armor pieces before so I'm not sure how the math works on what you get out of the item.

The Nexus strike on Venus. I didn't check to see what the modifiers were but I can already tell by the strike alone that it's going to be a bitch.

Yea It for sure gives you more on upgraded gear. I was talking about non-upgraded. I did not know however that you can get 6 from a non-upgraded gear as that has never happened to me. Lucky you. Although I have only broken down one exotic, Ice breaker because I had 2.

it will be a bitch to solo as there is no real good spot to camp and chip away at the boss. the mobs spawn all over the place any you will be under fire from 3 directions the whole time.

I think breaking them down has some sort of RNG component to it. I've broken down other completely non-upgraded exotic armor pieces and received only 2 shards while on occasion I've received 6.

Please. This is probably the easiest one.
You can jump up top on the left. In the center on the rings.
or for the cheesiest of all stay up top. Never fall down and just snipe him. Have one guy focus on killing the minotaur that spawns and you are good.

Yeah but then if by chance he gets you and you're doing the weekly, no one can get back to revive you
