My issue with their announcement was that they didn't include any context when there was clearly more behind the scenes playing into it. Bungie devs retweeting people digging up stuff from TWABs last August shouldn't be how we figure out the missing pieces. They could've simply stated that "this change is part of a system change we don't want to spoil".

477 and considered Prepared...I am not prepared.

Been a while since I played, stopped after Forsaken, but decided to load it back up and give it another go. Currently running through Shadwokeep on ps4 and then will do Beyond Light on pc since its free on xbox game pass (really really like the cross save feature so far). Anybody know if Witch Queen will be included on game pass day one?

Played Destiny religiously from launch until about a year and a half ago. Then it just got stale for me. But I have somewhat started to feel the call. Is it worth coming back?

Pretty much had the same experience. Just started playing again but so far its still one of those games you start playing and it just sucks you in. Started playing at like 8pm that first night and looked at the clock after what felt like an hour and it was 1am. How long it keeps me drawn in like that is still a question mark though.

They've made some really good quality of life changes to it. This season, while very long and player base dwindling, has been good. The seasonal event and the dungeon have been very good.

Destiny is great now, if you play Destiny
With so much FOMO over the last 2 years, you’re basically screwed if you come back now (unless they make some major changes in February)
The experience of build crafting SUCKS if you are new or have taken a long break.
Now, if you put the work in, get lucky with the mod rotations, and catch up, then it is a blast for a while

The narrative threads seem to be coming together, the seasonal content is fun and engaging enough to get to endgame, and the endgame activities are challenging, fun and rewarding.

Ehh, I downloaded D2 for free but I'm guessing people preordering means you have to pay for the expansion / season.

Unfortunately not. Apparently Bungie pulled all of the expansions from Game Pass for console but left them up for PC. Witch Queen will not be free on either version. Guessing it has to do with Sony buying them.
