Hardwired into a gaming pc.

I shouldn’t have to finagle a million settings to have a triple a game not crash every other match

Has anyone kept up with the news in this game?

Apparently, Activision/Microsoft have lost nearly all the players they gained since release.

The game is buggy. They are working on these stupid gimmick events and bundles rather than fixing the game

The Warzone map they currently have is completely shite.

My friends and I play 3-4 nights a week but it’s not as fun as it should be.

If Verdanzk busts, they will be in trouble. Big time trouble

I think this is all but a guarantee... They are going to solidify the exodus from CoD when they temporarily regain the player base that has already left by bringing back Verdansk, only to shite the bed with it. They are going to KILL any kind of nostalgia that Verdansk has if they are trying to integrate it with BO6 omnimovement/weapons/gameplay features.

What they should do is re-release the original Warzone in all of its glory, exactly the way it was. Even if just for a few months out of the year. I'd pay the cost of a new CoD title just to go back to that game for 2 months out of the year. There's nothing more I'd enjoy in gaming right now than to hot drop superstore, grab my hip fire mp5 and kar98 with my Damascus camo, then grab a heli and go fly at some kids.

They are going to frick this up royally. They are too focused on making cool-looking Fortnite-esque skins to sell battle passes and bundles from the store as opposed to actually putting out a functional game.

you mean like what Fortnite did? that was a success.

activision has evolved Warzone so much with additional mechanics that i don't know if they even have a chance to make it successful.

Yes, they should release Verdansk in the same exact way that Fortnite went back to their OG map/weapons/loot. The only thing that OG warzone didn't have that I'd like to keep from current WZ would be prox chat, but even that isn't a huge deal to me.

it’s not good. LINK

quote:

According to SteamCharts and TheGamer, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has lost a whopping 47% of its player base since it launched last October. In November 2024, Steam's Call of Duty launcher was averaging around 160,000 players. Over the last 30 days, however, the launcher has averaged around 87,000 players. In comparison, the also-controversial Modern Warfare 3 averaged around 103,126 players during its peak in November 2023. Player counts eventually settled to 89,000, which represented a six percent decrease, revealing Black Ops 6 is hemorrhaging players at a much faster rate.

I don’t think they can prevent the exodus and turn things around with BO6. The server issues, rampant cheaters, hyper tuned SBMM, poor Warzone integration, and the focus seems to be on content they can sell instead of fixing the game. It’s driving people away quickly.

COD is in real trouble.

My prediction is the Verdansk reboot will give them a boost in player count for a month or so until people realize that it’s not the same Verdansk that we fell in love with.

Steam is currently the only player count Activision allows. There is no data for consoles and Activision isn’t going to release any. But we can likely assume that it’s within the margins for consoles as well.

If there was ever a time for a true competitor to show up, now would be it.

I got Black Ops 6 back in October and enjoyed it at first. Started playing less and less. I got Baldur's Gate 3 in December and haven't touched Black Ops 6 since.

I'm on PS5.

None of buddies that were playing BLOPS 6 are really playing anymore either. They're all on console.

I'm really enjoying it, but be warned, it is a huge time suck! You feel like you're playing for an hour or so and you look up and it's been 6 hours.

I’ve played every COD since MW2 (except infinite warfare) and proud to say I skipped this one. I just knew it was going to be a clunker. The only thing that could save their game is to make it free to play. They are trying to rival Fortnite with their customization bullshite but you have to pay $70 to even load into the game compared to $0 to load into Fortnite. People would put up with a lot more of COD’s bs if it was free and they would have a larger player base to earn battle pass subscriptions and skins. They just aren’t smart enough to do it. Too greedy.

I would play for a couple of hours a night with a two or three buds from work since launch. We have all stopped. For us, the SBMM was bad, but we still had fun most games.....but the cheating....I watched a guy in the "play of the game" shoot three enemies through the dish in Scud, couldn't even see a head. A team of three doing all head shots with a Marine shotgun on Stakeout. I just can't do it anymore. Its too easy to cheat.

I'm sure they will screw it up. My buds and I have gone back to playing DMZ. That's a game mode that people should really get behind.

I'm definitely going to try it out, but I have ZERO expectations that they will make it what it should be.

Even if they knock it out of the park with Verdansk, they still have the whole hacking issue that has to be addressed. To regain and retain the player base they have lost, including myself, they can't focus on one or the other, they must do both.
