So, is it like that perk on MW3 where you got a hitmarker with a grenade and they showed on the map the rest of the match or until they died? It doesn't sound like the motion sensor I know and love at all.
A hitmarker with a grenade should be a kill anyway but that's an old MW3 discussion. Weak arse nades.

No, an enemy will show up on the map VSAT style if there is a direct line if sight between the grenade and the player. If they are behind cover then the grenade won't detect shite.
