Yeah I do the exact same. That area is the best for a confined, quick way to stack them up.

At the point you are at in the game just buy them. They don't cost that many Echoes. Should take you just a few minutes.

I Equip Moon rune(s) and run through the Forbidden Woods or Mergo's Loft. You'll get close to 20 vials and 40-50k echos. Only takes a few minutes.

You get a Clawmark (increases visceral damage) rune and a couple of madman's knowledge from them, nothing too important.

The bosses definetly aren't the highlight of the game. Outside of a few, they're pretty badly designed.

That one in particular was easy and boring. I only died once because my weapon broke and I wasn't doing any damage. I was trying to kill him with my torch and still almost beat him

The armored guys outside of the Witch of Hemwick fight are the toughest part of the Witch of Hemwick fight. I thought Gehrman, Logarius, Paarl, and Yharnam Phtumerian Queen were all good bosses.

Gherman, Gascoigne and Yharnam are my favorites. Most bosses are OK, but for every good boss there's a Micolash, One Reborn or Ebrietas.
