If I jumped into Dark Souls 2 would that spoil any of Dark souls 1 for later?

There are connections between the two, but it won't spoil anything in the first game. Despite some of its flaws, I actually prefer 2.

You should be able to summon pretty regularly on NG and NG+. However, the match-making is based on something called soul memory - how many souls you've acquired with that chartacter throughout all your play time, so it gets harder to co-op the further past NG+ you go. You can hit me up. It's still much easier to connect with others than in Bloodborne.
