Definitely not gonna try whittling them all down at the same time. The suped up versions are insane if they are all still alive.

You know that gate to the right from the very first lamp that was always locked? I just unlocked it by going all the way through the forbidden wood. You get to some underground poison lake after the wood, you go to the back of the cave and find a ladder. You climb all the way up and its put you in that little courtyard and you can open the gate. Once you do, you can enter the clinic and you'll find..
So I'd stop sending people to the clinic. Apparently the chick is a hunter who turns people into some slimy monsters.

I've never played a Souls game, so I'm really just trying to figure out how to fight and practicing fighting the different types of enemies. It's such a strange experience because I'm kind of just wandering around the city and honestly have no idea which way I should go. I do enjoy the game so far though. The gameplay is brilliant and it looks gorgeous.
I'm about three hours of gameplay in. If I'm still wandering around for much longer and dying, I'm gonna need a walkthrough to get me going.

I'm gonna go that way. I figured if try and get them all down to nothing and then kill them at the same time, but their suped up versions are fricking powerful.

No. You just have to sneak passed him for now. I didn't kill him until after two bosses and that was just to take revenge and get a few secret items.

He killed me fast the one time I went up there. I'm not sure where else I can go though. I went all around and the only other place is a ladder that goes up but he has a clear shot at me if i try and climb it.
