Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion blew away most questlines in any rpg at the time.

Literally an all time quest line, but to me, what really set Oblivion apart was the number of random quests, not guild or main, that were incredible. Murder mystery dinner, inn on the ship, etc, etc. It genuinely spoiled me.

Yep, it’s why oblivion is better than Skyrim. I can remember like 2 quests from Skyrim and can remember pretty much all of the guild quest lines (DB and Thieves being my favorite) from oblivion. Plus all the little knick knack quests you mentioned

This is why I would love a remaster that would allow for higher end graphics and mods. The main thing about Skyrim is that you can have it looking AMAZING, even 14 years after launch.

Hope this is actually a real thing because I’ve never really played Oblivion. Wasn’t really my kind of game when it came out so I’m pretty much made it to the main city and dipped out.
Now I’m a massive nerd so I’m all in.

Same here. I downloaded it last year on game pass and tried to play it again but the graphics and everything were hard to get passed, especially after I had just finished Starfield. If a remake truly happens I'll be all in.

The Oblivion modding scene is extremely well developed. Pretty much any quibble with the game, from graphics on down, is easily fixable.
