I can understand this. With more streaming and video editing going on, intel needs more cores or threading at the 200 price point.
By the time skylake comes out and intel has 6-8 super binned cores on a chip.. Ppl will overlook amd all over again. Those extremely flakey binnings of the 8150 made the 8350 look better than it really is.
At stock, they are nice but put volts to them and they crumble. That is where intel excels with their unlocked chips.

What I am trying to say on this phone is that..
If you purchase an unlocked intel chip you plan on OCing and pushing more volts. At the same price point the intel chip really shines when volts are added.
You aren't purchasing and paying a premium price for an unlocked chip to just sit at stock. They aren't the same thing tbh. Intel's extremely well binned cores to amds leaky cores.

I went to micro center today and had a 4gb 670 in my hands...just didn't pull the trigger. I'm a disgrace to the master race.

What was it? What kind I'm using? MDPC and dazmod.
Basically the same shite but daz is a little cheaper and IMO has a better selection.

I'm modding my case. LSU themed. Sleeving purple and gold. Probably gonna be purple lighting. Case is going purple with dark yellowish trim. It looks way better than it sounds....because it sounds shitty

Looks 1000000x better and its easier to work with

Why are yall so hyped up about the 670 4gb?
Posted on 3/13/13 at 6:39 pm to bluebarracuda
I am because I benched one. My friend got it and let me try it out in my system. Way better than my 660ti.

Hype Shot!

There's no point in getting the 4gb model playing on 1080p. It has the exact same performance as a 2gb model (unless you're using more than 2gb vram, which is highly unlikely at 1080p).
Its also a very overpriced card.

100% agree. I bought 2x670 4GB because was going to Surround, didn't like that shtt at all.
IDK if I ever seen +2GB on 1080, I know I do at 1440 though.
Also blue.. there was a time before 12.11 in which 670s would just turn around and say "meh" to 7970s. For the better those days are good, put pressure back on both players in the market.
ETA:
For you guys just getting into OCing, RAM is only of the hardest things to get stable at high clocks. Only REALLY good memory like Samsung (The 690 and Titan both have Samsung RAM, lol WIN) are easy to get stable.
2GB usually clocks higher than 4GB. So at 1080 you can turn your offset higher.

Guitar for 14 years. Then I cut off my pinky and ring finger on my left hand in a work accident. Been drumming for about a year and a half.
ETA: I still play guitar a bit. Im somewhat decent with mandolin and banjo as well. I'm at the Muse concert in Dallas
