Absolutely, the portal looks really cool. It will give the game staying power for sure, you could go from all out war with jets and tanks and then switch to a barebones survival mode with no health regen. Makes the game so much deeper and dynamic.

This looks like the game to get this Fall in terms of value... I don't throw my money around on games like I used to so this may be the ticket. Can already get a preorder Origin key for $47.99 (Standard) or $71.99 (Gold) on Green Man Gaming.
The Gold Edition seems to be 4 Battle Passes included and some cosmetics I guess... I hate the idea of buying a more expensive version of a game; however, and feeling forced to play it due to grinding cosmetics in a pass though.
Which version is everyone getting?

basic because i'm a basic bitch when it comes to battlefield.
people will get tired of the portal just like they get tired of everything else. it grows stale due to lack of content.

I guess the Gold Edition battle passes are similar to passes you have in any other game, correct? I will basically get a new operator each season, but if I don't grind the game I am getting nothing else out of the pass.

Are you getting on Steam or Origin? Also wish they'd go ahead and release specs... I'm apprehensive to preorder a game for $72 and then my PC runs it like shite.

I’ll get gold because it’s a good investment if I’m gonna play the game for a long time. I could spend $20 on a sixer of tallboys and a pack of smokes, but that’s only good for one night of entertainment. $72 for gold is worth it because it’s probably over a year of entertainment, and maybe longer.
I got the Origins edition of Overwatch for $60 and played it for over three years. It’s practically free at that point.

To me the difference is that I'll be able create the content, or at least have enough options where I can change it up pretty often.
To me the exciting part is making into more of a MilSim tactical shooter, like Tarkov, but without the grinding of looting being involved. I realize that most will not feel the same, but I think being able to pull-off real missions like in Arma but PvP could be really cool.

About to jump into the tech test, if my googling is right 5am-8am CEST is 10pm-1am central, so the first session is in an hour. Gonna play until 1am when she closes.

16GB DDR4
2560 x 1440p
Battlefield games are always CPU intensive.. and apparently even BFV pushes my CPU. So how would the jump to 128 player servers do?

I'll just wait for Overwatch 2.. which doesn't appear to be coming out until 2023. Been on OW1 since May 23, 2016 and damn that is the best game I've ever purchased for value in terms of hours to dollars.
