Nintendo Switch fricking sucks

It has taken us 3 fricking hours just to be able to download a fricking game to start playing.
I don’t want to link my credit card information to my nephews account.
This system fricking sucks.. then I had to buy a fricking year membership to Nintendo for $99

The family plan is $35 for a year for a family plan... Not sure who you paid $99 to, but it wasn't Nintendo

You expected to use companies with limited servers to download games in an instant on Christmas Dat when 10x thousands of people are downloading. Hahahaha.
My Xbox update today is taking like 90 minutes because of the rush, t'is expected.

I'm planning on buying a switch and one game to take on the flight to ATL. can I not just buy it and play the game out of the box? say Luigi's mansion or mario. or will I need time to download it. just trying to figure out how much time I need to set aside tomorrow to get it ready.

You can. At most the game will probably have a small update, but that usually only takes 5 mins. You should be up and playing after entering user profile in no more than 20 minutes.

A game? Are you sure you aren't installing Switch system updates? Every system has that hurdle, unfortunately.
If it's truly taking that long to download a game, I hate to break it to you but it isn't the system's fault.

Um...no you didn't. I don't know what you bought, but a year of Nintendo Online is only $20.
ETA: I see now that he admitted this wasn't for the online account.
