Now I'm playing Super Mario 3D World. Still a lot of fun and halfway through world 5.

I bought Zelda: Link's Awakening and Super Mario 3D World (+ Bowser’s Fury) since they were on sale for $40. I figured now I'll be plenty busy!

Best Buy has some in stock, it won’t show that way on the website but I just got one in Covington. They had both the console and bundle.

I saw an announcement that they would restock yesterday, so just confirming to anyone that may be looking for one. Seemed like they had plenty.

I had put in a reservation on Nintendo.com on 6/5 and still haven’t gotten an email. Wasn’t planning on getting one anytime soon but this was pretty painless

Just got the 2nd pearl on my very first playthru of Wind Waker. Seriously digging this game but the GCN button layout is rough.

We are seriously in the same area. I haven't played this since I 100% completed it when it originally released on the gamecube.

I had to change the right joystick configuration because I could not get a hang of the camera turning. I have to think about the other buttons a bit at times but the game tends to be forgiving. It's been a blast.

Yeah, reversing camera direction L/R is the only change I made. Hitting (-) to open the map is hard coded into my DNA at this point, so I'm constantly pulling up the NSO save point interface

I see Nintendo still didn't solve playing another game while downloading something else. That's insane.

Also, finally got back in town and played Mario kart for the first time this afternoon and tonight. I agree with most on here, it just ok. Some of the modes are fun but its severely lacking the depth that the 8 deluxe had.

I guess the plan is to just add stuff randomly to make it better? How long after mario kart 8 came out did they start adding new courses/racers?

Well the deluxe came with the ability to customize the kart out of box, along with better character selection. I haven't dug into the details yet, but 6 different outfits for Koopa trooper shouldn't count as 6 different characters. Hopefully they add characters outside the Mario universe later on.

I don’t know where, but I read an interview from Nintendo that said this wasn’t happening in MK world.

I got an opportunity to get my hands on a Switch 2 Pro Controller the first time and I gotta say I strongly perfer the Switch 1 Pro controller, which is arguably the best modern controller just in terms of design and feel.

The 2 doesn't have grips on it, the plastic is high quality but very slick. It also felt smaller for some reason, nothing dramatic just smaller enough for me to notice it was smaller. Probably better for kids but worse for grown men. And just as a matter of preference I'm not a fan of buttons on the handles. I find them extremely distracting and way too easy to accidentally press in general.

Popfindr for the win. I got one just in time for my son's B'day. Sent my wife on an expedition to the Gamestop in Central, but it was gone by the time she arrived. She called her mother in CT, and had one in hand within 30 mins.

Same for me. I would imagine if you check best buy in store in the morning, it wouldn't take anyone more than a couple weeks to get a switch 2. I got one at 12:30PM yesterday casually with no effort.

Online sellouts lead people to believe that there is no way to get one but scalping is done primarily online.

I had forgotten how awesome the "temples" are in these "older" Zelda games like Wind Waker.

I also forgot that I should not have mapped out the entire world before digging into the main storyline because travelling can get a bit boring at times.

That being said, the highs of knocking out the puzzles in the temples are just too nice. The game holds up very well IMO.

I just unlocked the Temple of the Gods and picked up the Compass & Map.

Getting the hang of the L/R movements with the Wind Waker baton took me longer than I care to admit.

Korok kids' dry tree twigs are gonna have to wait until I get more bottles, since I have red & blue potions in the two that I currently own.

Is anyone playing Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time?

I'm hesitant to drop $62 on a game that I can't even play a demo of, but hear amazing things about.

Especially if you reversed the left and right camera joystick controls like me. Left is right and right is left ha.

You only need one bottle to carry that special water since it is unlimited. You can keep pouring the magic water until the time runs out and it becomes regular water. The time limit is 20 minutes. Very annoying.

Good to know. Thanks.

Does the water come from the Deku Tree pond?

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on Fantasy Life while I was waiting on a customer to show up for a lunch appointment.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to check it out tonight or this weekend.
