Have to say I've been wildly impressed with the Switch and breathe of the Wild. I haven't had this much personal intrigue in Nintendo since the 64.

Being able to play on the big screen and then pick it up and go finish playing in bed, office, living room, wherever has been fantastic. I had my doubts about how seamless that could be but they really nailed it. It still hits me I'm playing console level games in the basically the shape of an iPad mini.

Breathe of the Wild has met all the expectations and more in my book. I spent probably the first couple hours just wandering around before I even started much of the main quest. This game is huge but not just for the sake of it and it doesn't feel empty. Every area I've gone to has its own vibe and feel.

My only "gripe" is the battery life being that I can get a steady about 3 hours of mobile gaming in. That's mostly greed on my part just wanting to be able to play longer.

Let's hope, but there's a long way to go before that is true.

Are they gonna be more available towards the end of the year to get a switch?

How long will that game last you before you get bored with the Switch?

I really want Breath of the Wild.

Not enough to get a Switch.

This is a huge negative.

"huge" negative is a little overkill. The 3DS gets on average 3-5 hours of battery life and its a far superior machine.

Was able to walk into Walmart today and secure a switch of my own.

Played for maybe an hour. Enjoy it. The screen is high quality

They don't need them and never have.

If you're playing in handheld and not tabletop mode, you can put it on airplane mode disabling Bluetooth and get 4 hours on zelda

This is a major reason why I don't buy handheld gaming systems.

I can't imagine why that would ever be a problem outside of a long trip, and even then it's not really a problem.

I own the vita and the switch, love both, and never have had any battery life issues. Just like I pretty much never have any issues with my PS4 controller's battery life.

If they commit to making REAL games for the Switch then they'll be back.

If they make casual crap loaded with gimmicks, they aren't.

I personally have no interest at all in the portability aspects of the Switch. I just want a standard home console, with a standard controller, that plays standard games. Until the Switch proves it can do that well, I'll hold off.

They are back. They swayed me with BoTW and the switch feature. I skipped the Wii U.

If they can get the best wiiu games like Mario Maker running and new games from their amazing list if IPs they could surpass the Wii.

Virtual Console will also be a huge draw. NES-WII games on the go would be yuuuuuuge.

The one negative I have is that Zelda frame rate is dropping while docked when a whole lot it's going on but I feel that devs will optimize that in time.

Playing Zelda anywhere is an amazing selling point

Wish I could say that. But I can't. Because I can't find one.

I just want to PLAY Zelda. Is that too much to ask?

And if they put out a multi-player Smash Bros, I am going to kick arse.

This is what I constantly have to tell my wife about her phone. She doesn't have a bluetooth device, but she always has it turned on. That and GPS.

I'm hopeful to have a new job in the next month or so, one that will require travel. If it happens, my interest in the Switch will skyrocket. And as much shite as I give nintendo, I do want to play Zelda, Metroid, maybe a Donkey Kong, and if Odyssey turns out legit, throw that in as well.

To say their "back" is a bit much considering they have one real game and some technical issues that still need to be worked out, but Zelda is a homerun for sure. As much as we want 3rd party on this as well, it's just not going to come like with the PS4 or Xbone. Either developers will shy away from the Switch or we're going to get a watered down version of their new game, or a remastered version of an older title.
